No need to go after an expesinve top 4 D. All they need is a bottom 4, defensively responsible guy who can add depth to the right side and cover for injuries for 1 season until Yak is hopefully ready a year from now.

Jensen, with his injury history and age, should be a bottom 6 D man right now. We need a sniper winger and a solid right shot d man. It's not gonna be easy.

Guys the trade we have to be looking at is Peterka – no doubt Staios will pursue. He’s a March for Timmy on LW in style ANd age. What would it take to get it done, do you think it’s worth it?
Why do the Sens need a RD when they have Yakemchuk waiting in the wings who already plays the way we need on the backend? Yakemchuk is already bigger, tougher & IMO will be better offensively. I would have Yakemchuk paired with Sanderson right now, Zub with Chabot & Kleven with Matinpalo until we get a better option for both Zub & Matinpalo. We should also have much better depth in Belleville next yr when injuries occur. Then use Jensen in a trade to add some depth or picks.
I want to see Staois trade for Michael McCaron C/RW this summer who can play several roles including taking a load off Brady in the enforcer role, PK, faceoffs & good defensively & add some offence. I would also like to see them move Cozens to RW on the top line & move Pinto to the 2nd line C spot in-between Giroux & Batherson. then move Greig back to 3rd line C spot & put Perron at LW & Amadio or Zetterlund if this guy can produce pts on RW. Promote Halliday to the 4th line LW spot & have McCaron mentor him to be a 4th/3rd line centre & have Amadio on the other side. Once Giroux, Perron & Jensen leave they will have plenty of money to add a top six forward or two.
i want ehlers on line 1… his speed combined with timmy’s would he insane… if were gonna go expensive somewhere… thats where we do it in my opinion. if a 37 year old giroux can get 50 points on that line… ehlers can get like 80… our window is open now, lets go for it
No way on Anderson, way too pricey, we need some physicality back there! I really like Kashawn Aiecheson, he might be available at 21 in this years draft!
If you pick a D-man top 7, and he absolutely needs a year of AHL time, did you pick him too high? Ottawa’s D might just be better with him so find out. Let’s face it, Zuuuub and Jensen aren’t all-stars so why not try for a better option.
