1. Again !!!! I must repeat this every year. Me and my 3 sons and their future kids have stopped watching pro sports in general. Canadian hockey more specifically for sure. When enough people will stop watching maybe they will understand the importance of winning. STOP WATCHING. CXL your cable…CXL whatever you do that brings a trickle of revenue to these sad, pitiful franchises.

  2. Superstar Canadian hockey players need to play for Canadian teams but i know it wont happen because of Money.

  3. We’re talking about the Toronto Maple Leafs. The history of this great franchise demands that only the highest standards are acceptable. The core of the last decade, while individually skilled, has not even come close to meeting those standards. Move them ALL.

  4. Too many things went wrong in that series. Don Cherry put it best: you can't defeat a team in the playoffs if you can't defeat them in an alleyway. I'd seen enough of Corner's Coach over the years to know that. To put it mildly, the Leafs lack that mindset. You watched what Bennett did to Stolarz and I knew right away it would impact the series. It marked a turning point in the series. If Stolie hadn't been injured for the game. I doubt Florida would have scored five goals in Game 3. Leafs don't have that mindset or DNA in them.

  5. Yep…and when the Leafs Podcasts now are more entertaining than the actual Event itself…that's all you need to know.

  6. Everyone ripping on the Leafs, barely anybody saying what a master class of a game the Panthers played. The Cats just wear you out in a seven game series, and it looked like Toronto just had nothing left. The core is definitely soft though, and Marner is atrocious. GG Leaf fans, it was a great series until game seven.

The guy on the right saying anything about “officiating” it’s a game seven? It has to be pretty egregious for them to call something. This dude does nothing but make excuses. It’s playoff hockey, Cats thrive in these moments.

  7. Failure starts from the top down. MLSE sucks as a hockey organization. 58 years and counting MLSE board, 58 years. Losers.

  8. marner and matthews run the team. shannahan keeps them happy for jersey sales and has neutered THREE COACHES to keep them happy. this is not the berube we saw in st Louis. it's all gaslighting to make you forget fabulous the last year so shannahan can pump out jerseys. mines in the garbage fuck the leafs

  9. Marner, Matthew, nylander's favourite movie star is david carradine… if you know, you know 😂😂😂

  10. When are PEOPLE gonna get it? The leafs will NEVER NEVER be a winner as long as they are a RICH sports team THEY DONT HAVE TO WIN. THE OWNERSHIP HAS TONS OF MONEY. STOP FEEDING IT I stopped feeding the Leaf machine over40 years ago I dont know 3 leaf players .I dont need to. I dont follow it ,I dont spend a dime on anything LEAFS I know Hockey very well Stop wasting any time on the leafs If everyone did this I bet they would win in the next 10 years but the same people never learn! Management allows mediocrity because they dont care about anything except the bottom line MAKING MONEY!!!!!!!

  11. It's pretty simple. The Leafs paid all these guys because they are without a doubt amongst the most skilled players innthe league but the issue isn't skill, It's effectiveness. Many top teams have less skill than the leafs top players but their players seem to be better at getting winning results.

  12. Im a ranger fan. Was pulling for the leafs. I fully understand what you guys are feeling and going thru. Shits hard to be a fan. Rangers are fucked in cap space. Leafs still have time.

  13. The Leafs are the product of their environment. Liberal loving Toronto. Privileged and soft. No competition, no consequences, empty virtue signaling, living in delusion, no results. Why should the Leafs be different? Oops, they're not.

  14. Is it possible that the Leafs are just not very good? Seriously, I'm not trying to stir it up but maybe the expectations for this team are simply way to high. 88 is a great player. 34 has too much talent to give up on. The rest of them are simply regular season players. Let the others go and get some hard-nosed, responsible players with playoff experience. Then they might just elevate their team game come playoff time.

  15. That's correct…the same thing happens every year: a lack of scoring. I'm not sure why Jankrok is still a Leaf; he can't score, especially in the playoffs. He probably played 30 games for the Leafs in the playoffs and managed to score one goal, which was most likely an empty netter. Lol

  16. what is missing on this leaf team? a lot of talented players well paid maybe too well paid leaving too little for 3rd and 4th line good grinders? could that be a real problem with this NHL system? they level it out from the base when they should cut the top part a bit so the lower lines can be signed to make the team better balanced. Not only the leafs but all teams are going to face the after effect of signing multiple long term contracts. that is insane like handcuffing yourself ,or painting yourself in a corner for 8 years???? to me not worth the risk. we live in a world of greed Me myself and I forget the team concept.? it is there for it looks good pretending Hockey is a team game when reality shows a different picture.?

  17. I knew the Leafs would lose this series when Stolarz was taken out. No hate towards Woll, he's just not as good under pressure as Stolarz is. With the attitude this team has they really need a good goalie to save them when they get their heads stuck in their asses.

  18. 100 point players don't grow on trees. You are talking regular season. Nobody cares about that. Bye Marner. It should have been done long ago.

  19. No. It's not "how" they lost. But the fact that – they lost! Period. Ten years into the Shanaplan, anything short of a Stanley Cup appearance this year would have been a disaster. And a disaster is what we got.

  20. The leafs were beaten by a better team that knows how to win. Maybe things would have been different with Stolarz. A second line center is needed to play with Nylander. He has had no linemates his entire career. Sorry Tavares is not a playmaking center. Marner must go. He can’t compete against heavy teams.

  21. Flyers fan here. I was really pulling for your team, truly sorry for the result.

Hope your team turns it around over the summer.

Looking forward to playing you next season.

  22. I dont like watching sports its boring af but my girlfriend and dad watched the game and he turned the game off and said they where playing poorly.

  23. Al’s brother 🤣🤣 Cringey entitled players and your fanbase continuously spit in the faces of the hockey gods and you reap what you sow. Soft culture, soft team. This just shows you how far yall are away from the Cup, this is the same bunch of bozos since the loss to Washington in 6 lol The all-time laughable records they continue to set and memes this team and fanbase provides.. my goodness. The Marner pirouette pass in his own zone in game 5 and then getting beat back to the net by a healthy scratch Boqvist just says it all on why yall will never win. You think McDavid or anyone on the Oilers for that matter, doing that in a playoff game? The Islanders won as many series and Tavares did as a Leaf up to now. Your Leafs matched NHL record for highest margin of defeat in a game 7. Any other fan base throwing their jerseys on the ice round 2 of a game 7 on home ice? It’s like the majority of Leaf fans are very casual hockey fans with no actual knowledge of the game whatsoever. I’m sure Paul Marner is negotiating Mitchy’s next 14m/yr contract with the Leafs as we speak lol

  24. Gyus, good talk, but you should talk also , how badly Berube failed to make team ready to fight in this game. Now no one blaims him, only Core4 .

  25. I don’t watch this channel but you guys are typical of fickle Leaf fans. You sound like jilted lovers. Some of your points are reasonable but the bitterness and anger is over the top. The Leafs had a successful season but you expect more. It seems lost on you two that only one team wins the cup. It’s easy to win during the regular season with 5 elite players on the roster. In the playoffs, a team needs to be a team. They need Tanev type players but only have one of this vintage. MGMT spent way too much on the top 5 but it’s the fanbase that instill fear and pressure on the players. This is because they are overly scrutinized and quick to point fingers at the first sign of trouble. They are also way too elated when they win. The MGMT team know they can make money with the current status quo because they know the team will make the playoffs and when they lose, they know the fans will come back next year. So where’s the incentive to win? The disloyal and unsupportive fans withdraw their support at the first sign of trouble. Like after game 5. The team hadn’t lost the series at this point but the fans abandoned them in their hour of need. How can the players thrive in this bipolar environment? The entitled, schizophrenic fans are a big part of the problem and the Toronto media folks string them along. That’s the main problem.

  26. The Curse of Harold Ballard will ensure that the Stanley Cup never returns to Toronto. The final dagger in this dismal season for the Make Beliefs fans will be seeing Marchand hoist the Stanley Cup.

  27. England national team in Soccer & Rugby, NYC media and now I know Toronto Media and fanbase are the reason that team struggles, the players don't have fun… There I said it, I am a South Floridian, and a Panthers fan, and I like to watch opponents media during series, entitlement is the word that comes to mind… Edmonton and Montreal fan bases are first class down here we got all kinds of you snowbirds, and Toronto people in general are the worst..
