I want to point out the respect I see the few oilers fans I see in the comments. Most oilers fans are insufferable, but ya'll are decent people.
Also, I kinda hope AAC is empty the next game. As a fan I can't watch this shit anymore. Broken heart again.
Miko may not be the problem, but he’s not the solution either. I think he’s gonna be a bust.
FIRE PETER DEBOER
be thankful you're not the Leafs…… LOL @Leafs
It’s just the Oilers time
Funny how Canadian podcasts after game 1 and Dallas beat Winnipeg talked about Dallas toughness, skill, goaltending etc. the series isn’t over that’s why it’s a best of 7.
Dallas is too much of a finesse team. Works fine during the regular season but there isn't enough grit and toughness to get through 3 rounds of playoff hockey.
In a speed game like Hockey, speed kills. Oil has speed. Dallas doesn’t. Our fastest man is 21 MPH, mcDavid is 24MPH and that 15% difference is huge. If stars want to keep up and beat Oil for WCF championship we need to find speed. Jamie “HasBenn” and the other slow pokes in Dallas have to go. Rebuild with youth and world class speed.
Hard to win when you can't score. It's not even the Oiler's defense. Too many players standing around twiddling their thumbs while Mikko gets 3 guys attacking him near the boards.
Team top to bottom is mentally shot and there's no chance of recovery. We love to win but we don't hate to lose, and that's on the captain and the coach.
Oilers are better than the Stars, period. Just like the Stars are better than the Jets. Problem is fans get 'hung up' on reg season standings. One road win negates home ice – right Dallas fans (Wpg).
the way stars fans are feeling right now is probably how i felt when vgk eliminated the oilers in the second round a couple of years ago. the oilers played well and tried hard but it was so evident they wernt on vgks level
Disagree that there are gonna be big changes. Management sees a full arena and yearly trips to the conference finals. Good enough.
Yup this year is no different. Not even a week ago Stars fans were bragging about how great their team is….
Embarrassing. Awful. This team has folded.
Thank goodness the stars and canes don’t have to play each other for 3rd place. Neither team would score.
*2 goals in their last 3 games not 3
Esta no Estrella
Not a collapse, refs gave Stars game 1 and its expected theyd lose the series
Otter did not stand on his head and that’s what it was going to take. He shouldn’t have given up that first PP goal from that angle. I know the offense stunk but that’s when you have to have a rock in net. Three years in a row and he can’t get past the WC finals.
Jamie bennn marchment, ceci, bICHEL ALL should be moved
Sloppy passing bad puck handling was a problem
im going out on a limb here and say there is still hope. if any team has the option of "flipping the switch", its these Dallas Stars. Losing 1 home ice game means you have to steal one back. We did not in the first 2, but there is still one more to steal. Win out. It can be done. Game 5: AAC needs to be rocking, This is the opportunity for slump players to find some confidence. Game 6: Score first and score often. As another elim game, i think we can. Game 7: Back home, momentum and DeBoer record. We can do this!
no physicality, no grit. The top skill players of the Edmonton Oilers are not getting hit, not getting checked, they just skate all over the rink with no fear. Also, the Stars jerseys are gay af and the American Airlines Center vibe is very feminine. Feminine jerseyss, feminine home ice, no home ice advantage. Soft flowery experience all around.
As a Stars fan im a realist….yeah maybe next yr because 3 in a row ?? Nope, not happening
They know they're outmatched. They're not quite a cup contender. You said it the best, Oilers' mental and physical toughness is relentless, the Stars are just in the way. Jamie Benn is not the player he used to be. Robertson and Rantanen are carrying the team. They made the semi-finals again. I'm an Edmontonian, we went thru some dark years while re-building. The pride factor is huge, it makes confident players who play with their bodies on the line with an unyielding determination. IMO
As i have been saying for yrs….no offense to the Finnish and/or Swedish ppl…but when times get tough like this i rather have American and Canadian players when the sh*t hits the fan because of the fact that American and Canadian players have that mental toughness and physical play are different from the flash and speed of the Finnish players. Not saying they aren't tough but at this time if yr its not enough. Also, Lindell isn't all that put Dumba in !!
Look man you can’t blame your Stars, you have to give credit to the Oilers they have beat all their opponents quite similarly, the Oilers have been defensively responsible and Stu is in the zone
At least you can claim you guys lost to the Stanley cup champs 🫡
Ugh. If they win the next, game – GREAT but I fear the reality is that this series is ultimately over. If we can't do it in 4 games, I don't think we're going to get that massive momentum shift and win this series – VERY unlikely. Edmonton wants it more – they are fast, coordinated and blood thirsty. We look the opposite in intensity – too soft. We seemed to play better yesterday but it was the same old-same old, and like you said – "it (wasn't) good enough". It seemed like when a pass was made to someone, they had to adjust the puck so they are not shooting backhand – do we need better setups that match the right-stick handed player? Do we need more right-handers on the leftside of the ice in OZ so a lefthander can feed it for a hot one-timer?? I think the team needs a reset for sure – a reset in leadership would be nice. I think it's time for Benn to retire, at least retire the C to someone else. So frustrating. It's almost like watching Angel Reese memes, hehe. FRUSTRATING! I hope the Stars prove me wrong but it's hard to "believe" and be positive.
Pete's coaching job is on the line.
Stars need to offload some of the old bodies who have no drive any longer. They remind me of the last few years of Marcus Naslund and the Canucks. Skill is there but no drive and a giant cloud of doom hovering over them. You can't win like that. Bring in young promising players. May be less skilled but they have a lot to prove and a heart to do it.
I think they should of lost their first game.
The STARS are a really good, but the OILERS are the better team, they have better goaltending, 19 different Oilers have scored at least one goal while the Stars offense has gone into hiding
Stars stick checking all the time isn’t cutting it for any type of defense against this team. Let’s get aggressive on the forecheck!
Don't be too hard on your team. This version of the Oilers is the deepest yet, even deeper than last year's which went to G7 of the SCF.
tough to make it three times and not win
I just want Marchment to go after McDavid. Or Hintz to breathe on Bouchard and watch him try to tap out. Or Seguin, the closet racist, say something racist to Nurse
I can’t wait for the team to strip Benn’a captaincy and ship off Seguin to some poor team like Toronto this summer. They can share the same bed there
Hold your heads high dallas fans and be loud. You defeated the avalanche in a game 7 clincher to being so kind mark schiefield. 3 periods are still up for grabs.
Edmonton is determined bunch. Be ready.
Coming from Edmonton.
It’s not over until it’s over but I think Edmonton has a date with Florida.
Benn needs to go. We need new leadership.
Whaaaaaatever bro. Got em where we want em.
Good first period. Just continue that. Good on draws. 70/30
Oilers fan and the series is never done till it's done. LA was up two games and the Oilers won 4 in a row. No reason Dallas can't win 3 in a row
This is just a rant Joey.
Not built for the play offs, see Toronto,Rangers,Winnepeg!Aint there!
Dallas downfall every time in the WCF or Stanely Cup has been being outhit by the more physical teams! St.louis & Vegas set the blueprint to beat the Stars
