  1. Misa is getting a lot of comps to Tavares, I’d take a decade of that without a doubt

  2. Misa has good speed on the ice, too, which is more evident when he's at centre. True, Schaefer has the skating as well, which is more noticeable seeing as he starts further back the runway. I'm good with either, would love Misa and would be thrilled with both (or Schaefer and say Hagens).

  3. Dude is already reforming Bridgeport, I’m sure they will make the right pick based on the right arguments. What a treat to have a high focus on prospects.

  4. Have to disagree with the argument that Schaefer came out of no where. He was the #1 Pick in the OHL Draft, which clearly shows he has been on the radar as one of the best players for his age group for a while.

  5. Idk, but if Chicago calls, I'd listen.
Here's why: Hawks have an abundance of draft picks & young Dmen.
NYI could get additional picks, plus one of those Dmen & draft Hagens.

  6. Don’t get me wrong, it wouldn’t hurt to get a true #1 D man who can help us transition. But this team has needed an elite goal scorer since Tavares left, a true PPG or even better forward. I’d rather Misa truly. This team has been on bottom 3rd of scoring for many years now.

  7. During the presser Darche also put a lot of emphasis on switching to a faster style and more goals. That sounded like Misa to me. Everyone keeps comparing this year to Tavares and Hedman but Hedman was also more skilled defensively and is 6’6

  8. Schaefer is the pick. Especially with a GM coming in from Tampa Bay who won because they had Hedman.

  9. You guys are in your own heads a 2way D man with wheels and IQ I could be wrong but that's my pick everybody will score more

  10. Agree on Schaefer. As I said on another post, it is as if someone high up with a lot of respect mentioned that he reminds them of Cale Makar and it just blew up from there. If it was me: Porter Martone…all day. But I can respect taking Michael Misa…the lad is going to be something special.

    Cheers,

(PS– Note: With the Islanders, though, expect the unexpected: Jake O'Brien or Brady Martin. A.)

  11. I wouldn’t be upset with shafer but misa is our guy i think. Mesa has 62 goals in 65 games, 132 points. Thats someone worth taking a chance on

  12. i would just play it safe and get Misa..i mean wtf..Schaefer 17 games?? that is not enough of a sample size..and how much better could he really be..is that gamble (lack of sample size) worth the risk? i dont think so
