  1. Yep… let Petey go… he cannot “grow” in Vancouver anymore than he has… whether that is about being a better player or a person… we have seen his maturity or lack there of😢

  2. Trade him! Trade him! Trade him!
I think it would be terrible for Canucks but great for Buffalo.
For EP40 it does not really matter since he is world class wither way.
Plus he can play with Dahlin. And that dude….well….he is insane.

  3. Pettersson’s trade value is at an all time low. You don’t trade players when that’s the case, you wait for it to increase. He needs another good season under his belt to show he can do it beforehand. If they traded him for chump change that would just be bad management. Fans can complain all they want, the reality is we are here now and there’s not much we can do about it. If Hughes leaves that’s his own choice… Chances are he had decided that long before this drama happened.

  4. Not sure what you are talking about. With is $11.6 million dollar contract, he'll be or supposed to be the main player. That's going to always be expected from that kind of money no matter where. But It's up to management to think if he's going to get back to form or not. If not, trade him for players that will help the team.

  5. Petey is NOT what the sabres need… Oh yeah, he can be a big time scorer.. but 1 scorer on an already decent scoring team is NOT going to get this team over the hump… the only position that will fix this team is Goalie.. because that is the 1 position/player that can improve single handedly keeping the puck out of their own net on a team that is bottom 5 in goals against. No change there and we could bring in Sid the kid and Ovi in their primes.. and still not make the playoffs… So many times over the last few decades I've not just the Sabres, but other teams as well think that 1 player will fix them… We would love to find that lightning in a bottle that we got with Dom Hasek back in the 90's… that team couldn't score very often.. but with Dom, neither could the other guys.. Now we have the opposite problem.. we can score… but we also can't stop the other guys.. and too many think the D-Corp is the problem… a great defense with a poor goalie still equals HIGH GAA..

  6. Trading him while is trade value is tanking would be the ultimate Vancouver move. He was 100+ point player just 1 season ago. His market value driooed because of the drama around him this year. Let him try to rebuild his value this year under a new coach… then, next year, if you still feel the same way, then you trade him with a higher (hopefully) return

  7. 11.6 mill, do whatever you can do to dump him before you can’t! He’s likely only worth 7 million on the trade market but!!🤷🏻

  8. My thought is if the Canucks are in 'win now' mode, the trade would involve Willander for a Sabers winger. Canucks need 3 dangerous forwards to be competitive next year. And the Sabre's have great left side defensemen, but the right side is weak. If we aren't thinking long term, I would be good with trade package that involved a Peterka or Tuch. More moves would be required during the summer, but this would be start.

  9. Petey to Buffalo or anywhere else for any assets is a go. Be warned Petey is a 130 point beast if healthy. The only way for he and Demko to get into playing health is the carnivore diet. The steal of the century is to acquire both of them now while their contracts are under water and force them both on a carnivorous diet as a condition of employment and that G.M. will look like a genius when both of those super stars get healthy and perform up to their own lofty expectations. No carnivore diet = the end of their once promising careers.

  10. Lego Lego…wheres your business thinking dude.
Trade for a good dman and flip that player for a forward.

  11. Buffalo isn’t a good trade partner for Vancouver. Buffalo has a solid center group already, had extra LD and need a RD. Vancouver doesn’t have pieces to offer for the pieces Buffalo is willing to move.
