Pete was a sulky bastard the last half of that series. But the exit interviews from his team were equally as weak. There wasn’t a single guy that said we weren’t good enough. We didn’t find a way we gotta find a way better next year. Just a lot of latitudes and clichés. Lotta guys didn’t want the heat. I think there needs to be changes in Dallas. Pete has gotta go. But they need to find a different culture in that organization stay relevant. Otherwise I’ll be flagging the exit interviews from the players this year when they’re bowing out of the first round next year.
Everyone picked Kings, Knights and Stars before they met the Oilers. Then they said those same teams didn't show up. At one point do the Oilers get credit for actually dusting these teams.

Everyone is always picking against the Oilers, and the very first thing everyone always says is that the other team is deeper and better on paper. It's so wild hearing this. Defence is not as good, goaltending is not as good, depth sucks, and it's just a two-man show. Did I miss anything? Yet the Oilers have gone 12-2 since the first round and have steamrolled over every round since, and really the two they lost, they should've won..lol so keep betting against them. This team feeds off of that. I'm not thinking the Panthers will get swept, but I'm certainly not thinking the Panthers are objectively better in any way.

Oilers are a lot better than last year. After game 2 vs kings, they've handled their way to the cup easily. Even without Hyman, a desperate Stars team never led the last two games.
Drai and Kane is healthy. Defense is better with Walman and Klinberg. Got new physical players with Podkolzin, Kapanen and Frederic.
Leon couldn't skate last years' playoffs, neither could Darnell.
Kane was thoroughly injured, couldn't even play.
Oilers took them to 7 games.
