Big isles fan and I am a big Misa fan and want them to take him 1st overall. So if we could get any of these packages and secure my best player it’s my dream scenario. I just believe cups teams are built through the middle and not a star D man. Just look at oilers and panthers no d is top 10 itl
Sharks definitely need someone like Schaefer on the back end, but I'd be so sad if they moved Graf or Cagnoni. Love those two, especially Graf.
The Sharks will end up with Schaeffer, without a trade up.

As a Sharks fan, I know we badly need a #1 D, but a top 6 of Celebrini, Misa, Eklund, Smith, Chernyshov and Musty would be sooooo fire 🔥🔥🔥. And GMMG know was he's doing so I'm not worry about what he's gonna do !
The sharks Absolutely need Schaefer far more than they need Misa. With your Stars mucking up the works with that deep playoff run, the opportunity to stay at #2, take Misa, and wait until that pick to go after a D to compliment Dickinson just isn't there.
What the Sharks would have to give up might be what holds up this deal. I do agree that the asking price will be just too high, even if it is heavy on 2026 picks.
Your first potential trade is interesting except the fact that Ferraro is really the last veteran leader the Sharks have left. It will be Celebrini's team eventually, but the Sharks don't have to go too far back to see what happens when a young player is thrust into a leadership role too soon.
Cagnoni is a great prospect, but it is based on one breakout season. Did the Sharks get amazing value by taking him in the 4th round or did he pull a Cheechoo and have one insane season? Only time will tell, and I just don't know if that is a risk the Isles are willing to take when they have a certified blue chipper already in their lap by having the #1 overall.

I dont get this move for the sharks. They are still three years away from being a playoff contender and two years after that at being a championship contender. Be patient. Draft misa. Hold on to your assets. They should still be bad enough for next season to get a top pick. And having a core of misa, celebrini, smith, eklund, musty, chernyshov, kasper, bysedt is still a stacked forward core. You can solve your dline in three years when the playoffs become an expectation. Dont sleep on cagnoni and dickenson being a formidable blue line too.

This is a big nothing.. nothing but gossips by an unreliable source that barely said anything but its spread like wildfire.
Watch out for the Hawks trading up #1 for Misa, they have all the assets in the world to give up as well
My mock trade would be 3 team trade:
To SJ:
Isles 1ovr pick(schaefer)
To CHI:
SJ 2ovr pick(Misa)
To ISLES:
CHI 3ovr pick(hagens)
SJ: Kasper Halttunen, Mario Ferraro and 2nd round (sj), 5th round (col).
CHI: Lukas Reichel, Wyatt Kaiser and 4th round (NYR).
This would leave isles tons of young prospects. Isles would get total 8 new prospects from this trade and hometown kid.
Haven't watched the video yet – but the sharks would be dumb to give up anything. They have so many good assets, it would be premature to start trading it away

As a Sharks fan, I’d be ok with Graf, Haaltonen or Cags in a possible trade.
But a big no on some of the ridiculous trades with Dickinson, Musty, Chernyshov, Eklund or SJs #1 pick in 2026. There’s no way the Sharks part with any of these assets.
Personally, I’d prefer they pick Misa and get Verhoeff, Lin or McKenna in next year’s draft.
Think of a future forward line that has McKenna, Celebrini, Smith, Misa, Eklund, Chernyshov and Haaltonen. The oldest guy there is Eklund who’s 22 right now.

Holy overpay. Every single trade proposal I have seen is an absolute overpay. 2nd + Halttunen is already an overpay, don't even get me started with Cagnoni. You cannot expect to be given either a top 6 or top 4 player AND the 2nd overall in a trade. Then all these trades have more than that on top. Greir has a job to do, he of course is going to see if he can trade up, I've been a defender of him through everything. Making any of these trqades would make me want him fired immediately. Schaeffer isn't THAT good. Take Misa and dominate the league.

With Sammy D do the Sharks 🦈 really need another left shot left side D? Perhaps The Sharks 🦈 would be better off trading for Right shot right Side Dobson! Then the Islanders get Schaefer and likely Hagens … I could see this more perhaps.
They should not do it. NYI won't give it up unless they completely overpay. It's not worth it.

Islanders fans are nuts if they think the Sharks are willing to trade Dickinson, Celebrini, Eklund, Smith, or their 1st in 26' just to move up one damn spot. It's not like Schaefer is some generational Dman. I dont really think Schaefer is a franchise Dman either. The type of assets Islanders want would come from a team outside the top 10 or around 10 OA.
Hockey has to be the only major sport where a prospect can have such a tiny sample of games against peers of similar age and be hyped like Schaefer. He's definitely an elite prospect worthy of the top three picks, but teams trading draft capital and highly touted prospects to trade up? Get outta here with that crap.
