Dorion “found” Paguea while scouting Strome. Traded Paguea and while scouting Schneider “found” Greig and took him with the pick he got for Paguea. There’s a story in here somewhere
Jason Robertson would be an insane upgrade. 6,3, 200lbs, 25 years old. Batherson alone would not get that deal done you’re throwing in a first at least plus zetterlund. Guys already a star player….but if he’s available I’d choose him over Peterka and wouldn’t hesitate to move Batherson for him.
I like Robertson a lot, but I think he Will want minimum 10M on his next contract, I think I would still prefer Peterka bc of the value he could bring at a lower contract. I also saw some rumors about Alex Tuch wanting to leave Buffalo, I think he could be a good fit with Stutzle bc he score 36 goals in 2 of his last 3 season and he is very good in his own zone
Love the idea of acquiring Jason Robertson who comes with size but he would have to come with a new signed deal. Ott should consider trading Jensen & Zetterlund (plus) to acquire Robertson & NOT TOUCH BATHERSON. It's the 2nd line that needs a scoring forward like Robertson on the top line that already has Tkachuk & Stutzle. A Robertson – Cozens – Batherson line would be great, they are all about the same speed, they are all good smart players & they all need to work on their defensive abilities. We need a couple more good players not move any of our good players, so get rid of Zetterlund not Batherson.
I would move Perron to the top line for a yr & move Giroux down to the 3rd line to give that line a little more offensive production. Next yr when Perron's contract is up it frees up $4 mil for them to acquire a top line RW & depending on when Giroux leaves that opens up another $4 mil to spend on a Giroux replacement given the cap also goes up in both those yrs. In 2627 it goes up to $104, 000 about $9 mil increase & another $9 mil increase the yr after when both Perron & Giroux are likely to leave & maybe Zub another $4 mil.
He made 9.2 million last season and will make 9.3 million this year. Won’t fit into Sens salary structure. Too bad.
Robertson just came off a loss in the conference final.He will want to go to an American team.He will want to make a move to a real contender.He is an American player.

Vancouver is a mess right now because they went to .mostly American players.Boeser this summer and Quinn Hughes will be next.Go for Peterka,a German that would be happy in Canada because he has to make a home in North America
Robertson would be a huge upgrade, but the potential price tag when his contract is up is concerning.
Stars are in desperate need for top end RD prospect. Jim Nill isn't picking up the phone if the offer doesn't start with Yak. Rather go for Bourque plus Marchment.
Get Robertson and flip him to Colorado for a cpl 1st round picks and one of their RD use the picks to upgrade the forwards 😉

I have an incredibly hard time seeing the fit with Jason Robertson being optimal for the Sens. Is he 1 of the best players they could acquire yes no denying that but from a net squad pts basis and just chemistry overall even though Peterka isnt as good as Robertson I think hes better for this team than Robertson would be. Robertson is a LW so he would eother be on the 2nd line or Tkachuk would be which will hinder the pts of 1 of them where Peterka on paper at least seems like the perfect final piece for that top line with Timmy and Tkachuk

No, why would you want to do Dallas any favors when it comes to the cap. We pretty much got fleeced on the Spezza trade years ago. Bath is on a great contract, and fits the system well. Any mistakes made in the playoffs to me are just a sign of inexperience. They just need another top 4 right shot D, and shore up the bottom 6 whether in house or through FA.

Im not a fan of Robertson coming in, because the left wing isnt our problem. Its the right side, and his extension will be easy 10-11M per. It's Peterka or keep Batherson. Spending to the cap with the right side being very weak if Batherson is moved, it's not a smart move whatsoever.
