  1. That Matt Johnson shot block hits a lot harder knowing what’s happened to him since…

  2. This was the 1ST Wild Game 7 upset of the Avalanche in Round 1. 11 years later they would do it all over again…ironically enough, this game was Patrick Roy's last as a player, and 11 years later when the Wild again upset the Avalanche with a Game 7 OT win in Denver, Patrick Roy was the Avs' COACH.

  3. Jacques Lemaire said when it was 3-1 Colorado in the series that the Wild should be satisfied with just being here and that he had basically conceded at that point. Luckily for him, his players thought otherwise.

  4. Steve Levy & Darren Pang were great announcers for ESPN….back when hockey mattered to the network.

  5. This was really the last hurrah for the old Avalanche Cup winning core.
Roy retired, Sakic, Foote and Blake were in decline, and Forsberg only had one good foot.
Colorado have never been the same since.

  6. I forgot charging penalties were a thing . Btw Minnesota went on and beat Vancouver after being down 3-1

  7. I was watching this game way back then. I feel old but love that Hockey is back where it belongs in Minnesota.
