I get you gotta get content out, but really there is no way in hell Robertson would want to come to Isles. Also, I think this is a negotiation tactic by his agent to get paid by Dallas.

I would argue that Dallas would be the ones to add more to that deal for Dobson. The Islanders can find another goal scorer, but can Dallas find another right handed 70 point Defenseman??

Just throwing this out there go for Misa for offense and if they trade back into first with maybe Utah they can grab Mrtka on defense. He’s a right handed defense man that’s 6’6” 210lbs already and he can skate.
M.Darche wants to bring in speed. JRob is probably the slowest skating Superstar in NHL. Plus trading Dobson. I don't see Barzal & JRob working together. Food for thought

Dobson is overrated. If Robertson was willing to do an 8 year sign and trade that works for the Isles, the Stars can have Dobson AND one of our top 'still baking' prospects.

I am not adding assets with Dobson for Robertson! Dallas needs to add to Robertson for Dobson. Finding a defenseman who can score a point per game has far more value than a forward…..and yeah you can teach team defense but you can't teach a defenseman to score 70-80 points. Btw, Robertson scored 100 points 3 years ago. He's a point per game guy at best on a team with players around him. He's a 65 point player with the Isles. I'll pass unless Dallas pays up!

Dobson is a defensive liability. He can score, but is overrated with very little physicality and a defensive mindset
