   In Fullmetal Alchemist, alchemy operates under the Law of Equivalent Exchange, which states that something cannot be created from nothing and that in order to create something, something of equal value must be exchanged and lost.

   We can’t get better without giving up something, if that’s what it takes, we should all welcome these changes. This roster isn’t cut out to win a cup.

   I’ll preface this with saying that ANYBODY can get traded. Even Gretzky got traded. But I just don’t see why we are even talking about trading Batherson. Where did this idea come from? Who started this rumour? It doesn’t really make sense in my opinion.

   Obviously if the price is right, anyone is available. But I think trading Batherson would be a lateral move at best. So at his cap hit, why not just keep him? Unless we know for sure there’s some type of rift between him and the team – ie. he might not extend when his current contract is over in two years – then why wouldn’t you keep a guy of his calibre making only $4.975?

   Cozens just got here, and those guys are good friends and showed incredible chemistry. I’d love to see what those guys can do together in a full season, and with a left winger that isn’t David Perron.

    Random comment moment… game 4 I had tickets but came with shuttle service. To this day I wish I didn't go on the shuttle and stayed back to meet pilzy. Just been bothering me . Gsg

    I don’t trust Batherson to be a top line player. I love the player, I think he’s been a great Sen. But I think he’s the perfect second liner. I don’t think he has the consistency of a first liner. I doubt it happens, but say the Sens were able to get Jason Robertson. Would you rather have a weaker second line of Giroux, Cozens and Zetterlund but a better top line of Stützle, Tkachuk and Robertson, or a stronger second line of Batherson, Cozens and Zetterlund, but a weaker top line that has G with Timmy and Brady?

    Now that the Sens have made the playoffs, it’s important to look at how they can improve. If we can get a clear cut top liner by giving up Bath, I think it’s worth it.

    I’ve heard rumours out there about Robertson from Dallas to Ottawa. This would be interesting m, Bath for Robertson? I think we’d have to add to this and personally, I think it would be a significant piece. What don’t oh think would get a deal like that done? I really like Robertson on a line with Tkachuk and Stutzle. Even him and Cozens might be deadly.

    Batherson is 100% a no-go for me on getting traded this coming season. There are plenty of options, but Batherson having a full season alongside Cozens seems like a legit duo.

    I'm gonna throw in the name Troy Terry at 7M, There could be an option there. But Troy Terry as the 1st Line winger wouldn't be the worst

    Keep Batherson..he’s in his prime years and will produce more points . The sens organization will be hard pressed to get better in a trade.

    Drake Batherson is a great player & if we trade him he has the potential to hit 90 to 100 pts. He had that ridiculous injury he had to deal with after that a-hole goalie in Buffalo took him out & he has had this trial hanging over his head for quite some time. Zetterlund is not replacing Batherson, I don't think he could replace Greig who is so much better or even Gaudette. We'll see this yr how he does but I have very low expectations for Zetterlund.

    If Drake plays on the top line they would have the potential to be the best line in hockey but they need him on the second line as the playmaker & spread the talent around to make the team better. Without Drake on the 2nd line the point producing from the other lines drop dramatically. Regardless of his contract, he is big, can be physical, is a great playmaker the best one on the team in fact & he produces pts. I don't see this team taking the next step without Drake, we need to add another good player or two rather than trading our good players.

    Why not go after a player like Brock Nelson C/LW & add a 58 pt player last yr in free agency & all it costs is money? I would look to make a trade by putting a package together which includes Zetterlund & Jensen this yr, maybe something at the draft to acquire a 2nd rd pick. Nashville has a lot of picks in this yr's draft & I would look to move back & pick up another early pick. I just don't get this obsession with Zetterlund, skates well, hits but accomplishes nothing. Batherson accomplishes results & was second in scoring in a yr where people constantly shit on him. They love Timmy because he is a figure skater but he made plenty of mistakes & some that cost us games but they won't criticize him. I just don't get fans that want this team to be smaller & softer after watching the playoffs where again the big teams are dominating. This fan base has the same obsession for Peterka. Get rid of the people in the org who want to move Batherson.

    I'd trade Cozens before Batherson. Pinto can move up to 2nd C and probably produce more than Cozens.
    I liked Cozens for about 5 games and then he just seemed like a passenger for the rest of the season. When healthy I liked Norris game alot more than Cozens.

    Hearing about the kind of team that could use a guy like Bath… sounds like us. I say we keep him. Perron is the guy I'd rather see moved but that feels kinda wrong

    The hits stats for Bath are such BS can anyone actually recall an effective Batherson hit ever? Trading Batherson definitely sends a great message to the Sens locker room. No time for guys that just coast out there (not talking about just the playoffs) does a lot for a locker room Batherson like Norris is a guy you don't win with so I expect if not now Batherson will not be a lifelong Senator with how Staios manages his roster. He's fine for where the Sens are rn but as stated earlier you'll never win a cup with Batherson in your top 6 unless he can change the way he plays and it's been years since he's been putting in a consistent effort sadly because when he's really trying he's a great player it's just rare that he's playing all out
