Thanks to Draisaitl for giving the Canucks their due recognition and respect for the playoff series they gave the Oilers last season! Right now, with the current drama and uncertainty around the team, Canuck fans need something to remind them to still believe in this team!
The prime example of what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It took some degree of maturing for the Oilers to get back into that series and then take it. Probably drawing on that exact same thing to came back into the Florida series. I'd argue that the loss to Colorado also helped them.
As an oilers fan, I remember the bloodbath that was the Nux series. I'll say this, the nux were tougher and more physical. I genuinely think that the nux could have beat the panthers last year in the finals. They were bigger an meaner.
And then my Canucks imploded and keep trading our best players overpaying the wrong ones…..
And yes Boeser didn't play in that game 7 as well.

Let’s not forget Podkolzin helping their current run. He make not be a big factor, but it gives them an added player to their lineup that has them in the finals.
