  1. If San Jose will give up their first round pick next year or Dickinson, you swap down and take misa.

  2. Anyone hear Lou may have extended the scouts as well as his son? This is how Lou repays the Islanders after how good they were to him? An example that you need to fire someone right away. Malkin should let Darche replace these people and eat these contracts since he did not act sooner.

  3. Svechinikov on Carolina and Brady tkuchuk were drafted after Rasmus Darlene. They are light years better than him.

  4. Good 🌄, Gil. How are you? Michael Misa, 18 years old. He imploded in this season at juniors, scoring 62 goals. The Islanders need an assassin who can fly. He sounds like a great 2-way player. He's 🏒 smart. As I said before, he sounds like Bryan Trottier. Gary Bettman, who's not one of Long Islands' favorite people, will have a send off before the 🏅next year. It would be nice if they have a Four Nations type Tournament. Mike Reilly. He got hurt in November, and while he's injured, he finds out, he's got a ❤ ailment. He's 31 years old, and he'll be a UFA. Whether he comes back to the Islanders or not, I wish him best. HAPPY 🎂, MARCO KIPROSUFF. He scored an assist in 4-1 over Edmonton. Gear from you later, Gil, but before I go, I just finished 👀 Game 3 of the Patrick Division Finals, the Islanders beat the dreaded Rangers in OT with Trots getting the GW goal. Now, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

  5. If Misa is secretely Your 1 then You absolutely trade back to the Sharks even if You only get .80 cents on the dollar for the ask or You leave that .80 on the table since it is basically a certainty the Sharks are trading up to grab Schaefer. That is My take right or wrong.

  6. Gil , thanks for another great video
I was hoping you could help me with a problem.
I been looking for a Book I had 40 years ago about the NYI.
And looking at your bookcase behind you, you might be the right guy to ask
I believe the book was called FOUR ON THE AISLE. I thought it was written by Stan Fisher. I lent it to the kid sitting next to me at the Nassau Coliseum , We had season tickets from 1980-2008 and I never got it back
All I remember it had a great picture of Terry O’Reilly face after Gillies Fight
I appreciate any information. Thanks again, Matthew.

  7. It would be crazy to pick Misa first overall when we can get him at #2. Trade the #1 to the Sharks and take Misa along with extra prospects/picks.

  8. Darche will have a tough decision, I could live with either as the top pick! I agree Gil a 4 nations style tournament would be excellent and the UBS arena would be a perfect place to host such an event. Thanks as always for the great podcast keeping us fans up-to-date on the Islanders off-season activities. Have a great weekend Gil. LGI

  9. Good morning team! Gil, I would be happy with either pick, and if we can get a Shark's prospect, and a first round pick next year, then let them pick first. Our pick will be the other player not taken. Deal done! From what I'm hearing from you about Misa, we could be getting our own Connor McDavid? Would LOVE to see that, and I completely forgot about Eiserman. Wow! We are going to pretty awesome in a few years! On Reilly, we need to keep him. I love his play on the ice, and I believe he'll get better with more and more ice time. Everyone, have a great day and weekend! See you all again Monday. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!

  10. this is why you go for Misa, first the financial reason. If i take Matt the fans will not see him with the team until at least 2 years. i need to fill up the seats now not 2 years from now. Misa will fill the seats NOW. second reason. figure the theme…McDavid, Bennett, Draisaitl, Matthews, MacKinnon, Othani, Judge, have in common…offense wins. you think Oilers are there without McDavid? We need a goal scorer and Misa is the guy…Geezz this is a no brainer. Hey you want to trade with San Jose and try to get Musty or Chernyshov and a future first rounder, i am in…and we still get Misa

  11. I do love the 'generational talent' comment. Bedard was considered generational. At this point, its not clear he's better than Fantilli or Carlsson. Meanwhile, last season, no one was talking Celebrini as generational. and he's looking better than all of them. Mind you, they'll all be really good NHL players, but the ability to project just how good someone is, that's still a pretty inaccurate art.

  12. fwiw, All-Star games are so-so. But the events around the game are a lot of fun. If it was just the game, it'd be meh. But since its a good bit more, its worth it.

  13. We did exactly that when we drafted Tavares, we never made a playoff with him. We passed on Headman and he had 3 cups. None of you offense heavy fans answer that you’re so focused on offense because you’re idiots. If you want to take Misa number one we trade down to two because we know San Jose wants Schaefer so we get extra assets in a trade you do not pick Mesa number one that’s stupid. But that’s typical islander fans they don’t think things through. I don’t care which one we draft either one is fine but we do it the right way if we draft Schaffer, we take him number one if we draft Mesa, we make a trade out of number one with San Jose because we know they want him.

  14. If San Jose is hell bent on trading up for Schaefer, Isles should focus on shedding unwanted contracts. Sharks have over $41 million of cap space, and can afford to take on the money. What would Isles nation this of this trade:

    To San Jose:

    First Overall pick
    Scott Mayfield
    Pierre Engvall

    To Islanders:

    Second Overall pick
    Quentin Musty
    Igor Chernyshov

Here the Isles likely end up Michael Misa, clear $6.5 million off of their cap for each of the next five years, and still add two promising young prospects. Thoughts?
