Trading for good players, is the only way the Rangers will be able to bring in another big time player. None of the current players like Drury's way of managing the team. So there is almost no chance a top tier talent willingly wants to sign with the Rangers as Dolan and Drury are running the show. There is also no shot the Stars trade Robertson away. It'd need to be a deal with multiple first round picks heading back Dallas, Cuylle and maybe even our own Roberson to even start talking about a "possible" deal for Jason Robertson. Second is, The city Dallas can't afford to make another stupid trade, trading anyway there future for prospects and picks. Jason is a 6'3 winger that is an elite passer and shooter which means if they do trade him, which I don't see happening. If the Stars trade away a Star, the city of Dallas is already mad about the Luka trade, add this to the mix and good luck to everyone in the City of Dallas.
Has the kreider to Anaheim deal been made official im more interested in that than speculation on Roberson I like him but I dont see the pieces lining up.
We need to find a way to get Robertson and keep Cuylle. Fox, Cuylle, and Shesty are untouchable; I don't care for anyone else.
Let me guess:
Keep the soft/aging/apathetic/underperformers
Mortgage the future by trading away guys like Cuylle and Schneider
Continue the delusion that one trade can "change everything"
Bring in guys that do NOT address your critical needs
Ignore player development and morale
Wash, rinse, repeat until no fans are left.
Dallas trying to unload one of those few true offensive players doesn't make sense. They have a load of older players they could unload first. Including Jamie Benn🏒
Don't trade Schneider. He's the future
