While I think this is a bit of a panic move, if you have really lost the room, then this makes sense. Neil Graham (has worked with a LOT of these young players) seems like a natural promotion from within

As a Texas Stars STH, I am looking forward to the trickle-down changes. DeBoer's lack of physicality has hurt all the way across the organization.
This team ain’t getting no cup they are aging with no cap and a bunch of if’s players becoming ufas like granlund and duchene and with duchene being a ppg player last year he’s going to ask for more than Dallas can afford and same with granlund. Also rantanen is overrated he never played that well in Colorado in the playoffs like he did for Dallas what you should expect out of rantanen is what you seen against the oilers. He don’t back check and he’s really really streaky. Dallas over paid for him by far and I think this contract is going to bite them in the ass. Also what’s with Dallas fans always trying to take things from Colorado? lol like our coaches why can’t Dallas go find its own people and build something of its own like sakic did with the avs. I think Dallas has a fall off this year due to granlund more than likely gone and duchene maybe gone…
Unlike most, I would love to see Torts behind the bench. After watching the tissue paper team get punked by Darnell Nurse, I would love to see a tough team that gets more physical in the playoffs.
In the last year of a contract, they either extend or dismiss. They weren’t going to extend.
I was watching the Stars this season I kept on saying like what's wrong with them in certain games and I don't know especially at the end of the season. And then I said well maybe it's the coaching? 🤔

I think it was obvious the team needs a new identity and new scheme to get over the WCF ceiling.
The next step is not re-signing Benn. Then it's finding the right coach to get toughness and execution out of this group and some role playing FAs to fit that.
This move says Nill and the big cheese both think the talent and roster construction was good enough to win the cup the last 2 seasons.
The core of the team is Otter, Rantanen, Robertson, Hintz, Johnston, Heiskanen, and Harley. Those are the big money guys. Have to fill out the roster and find a coach and style of play that gets that group to push up to title winners. Tough job, but doable with tbe right pieces. It's a ton of talent to work with.
I feel for Pete. Dudes the most likeable guy. I understand the decision though. We had the same experience here in Vegas. He gets teams almost there but not quite and can’t seem to go any further . Not sure if it’s insanely bad luck or if his coaching style is good for earlier rounds and not for later rounds in some way? 🤷🏻♂️ who knows. But he’s a great guy . I think Buffalo should hire him. They need a guy that can get them to the playoffs in general . He can do that forsure.

You have an all-star top goalie making $11 million a season being pulled way too early and the way he encouraged his players like MARCHMENT to hurt people like ZACH HYMAN AND CONNOR BROWN . We have a good core = Rantanen, Robertson, Hintz, Johnston , Heiskanen, Harley, and possibly Bischel. We need to find that secondary supportive core and now a coach. Marching onward to the CUP.
BobRosski should pass Jake in shots faced tonight, with one more game. If Oetter had faced as few shots as Florida, he would still be playing in the Stanley Cup

I would love to see Gallant in Dallas. He seems to have shelf-life with management, but he's won everywhere he's coached and has used a "system" that evolved based on the roster he had available. If the Stars SC window is the next couple of years, I think he's the coach that can light a fire under this team.

Coaches like Gilant or Especially Tortella would be horrible, they would completely ruin the style of play, you know, the reason why Rantanen Signed here, Graham may not have NHL experience, but he’s very familiar with the young core, if you want to not throw him into the fray right away, have spot be the HC for the last year of his contract and have Graham as his assistant, but Graham should be the number 1 candidate
