I'm probably alone on this view but I would trade Hutson for Rasmus Dahlin,of course it would need to be more pieces to get Dahlin but I would go all in to get him. Dahlin gets you through the playoffs Hutson to it. JJ Peterka is also intcing

Tage Thompson the Mutant would obviously be a dream come true, but how does that make sense from a Buffalo POV… They actually have a stud forward who committed to that city long-term. No way they want to relieve themselves of that contract.

Habs do need to focus. Demidov needs a centre and maybe a linemate other than Newhook. HuGo is aware of the needs up front and on the D, so speculation is fun but not accurate. The future does look bright 😎

I definitely agree that Montreal & Buffalo or not good trading partners . as far as the only somewhat realistic player in McLeod , he’s OK , but I think KH is aiming for higher talent to play with Demidov

Trading Matheson who could easily re-sign a new contract with Detroit in exchange for Andrew Copp who would be ideal as a second center for the next 2 years giving Michael Hage time to gain experience.

Peterka or Tage Thompson would be very ideal but it isn't realistic. They're gonna want Demidov+ back in return. Which is a total non starter for the Habs. The Sabres aren't looking for picks and long shot prospects.
