I can't fathom why they keep this team on life support year after year while there are millions of hockey fans in other cities just dying for a team. Quebec, Saskatoon, Hamilton, Seattle… take your pick! They bleed money away from the Phoenix taxpayers.. and tried every trick in the book to keep it there..now a name change to attract more Arizonians – really? It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this franchise should be moved… after all this time it still has few fans and loses money year after year… it's a joke that got tired a long time ago. I totally agree. Move them up to Canada. Lord knows, that Canada could use some more NHL teams. It's a Canadian sport, yet there are only 7 teams out of 30? It's ridiculous. Give Quebec their team back .
Both the Coyotes and Panthers need to move. On top of that, 2 teams in the expansion soon (West has 14 teams, East has 16) gives us 4 new teams. Which teams should these be? Seattle and Quebec as the replacements for the Coyotes and Panthers. After that, have 2 new teams in the West. Saskatchewan can have a team. Saskatoon Blades has a 15k stadium, 220k population. Canada is hockey-crazy. Just do it! Oklahoma City is another good candidate. Portland is sports-crazy. Hartford, CT would be a great place for hockey, but that would leave us with 17 West and 15 East teams again.
The teams pretty good this year and STILL people aren't going! I say either somewhere in Canada OR Seattle or Milwaukee would be great places for them to move to
The Coyotes need to move to Quebec City. QC just recently built that brand new, made-for-hockey arena and are dying for an NHL team. wtf, why would Arizona give a shit about a hockey team? I'm surprised they know what hockey is.

Keep the Yotes here in AZ! Been a season ticket holder for the last 8 years. I will be devastated if they leave. I am a Sharks fan and always have been even before the Yotes but since we got the team here in the desert I have to support the home team. Also I find it sickening how all these Canadians are drooling over the possibility of a team relocating.

I live in Arizona and weirdly i have alot of freinds who love hockey so there will be plenty of mad hardcore hockey fans if they move. And i dont really care that the name was changed because they dont even play in phoenix

The problem with the coyotes moving to Quebec is that they will then need to move to the Eastern Conference, and because of this the Western Conference would then be moved down to 13, and the Eastern would be moved up to 17, making two Eastern teams move to the Western Conference. Basically the coyotes could just move to British Columbia or even Seattle, and still have success.

I live in glendale right down the street from the stadium. I don't care about This story. I don't like hockey and I don't know anyone here who does. However I do like the cyotes because I like all az teams so I hope they stay in AZ.

If they decided to change the name of the team they should might as well just move them somewhere else like Regina,Hamilton,Quebec City or Seattle.
I live in Arizona and I love my Phoenix Coyotes and would hate seeing the team leave Arizona if that ever happens but I feel that it would be better for them. It would be nice if they moved somewhere like Seattle or Milwaukee.
Florida Panthers move to Quebec and Phoenix Coyotes move to Seattle. Seattle has an arena with a capacity of 17000(keyarena). That arena averages 7500 for a womens hockeyteam. At least they would average better than Phoenix.

the coyotes signed a 20 year lease last year with the stadium in Glendale so unless they can get out of that they are not moving!!!
Yell at me, hate on me, do whatever will please you, but give the Coyotes a chance. I know the area is a pretty bad location, and the attendance is really low, but in 2012 on their playoff run, it really spread the game. The fans still may not know much, but this is just about growing the game, making more people interested, to help the community. You'd be surprised, just give Arizona one shot and a Stanley Cup appearance, maybe even a win, and it'll change the franchise forever. The respect will be there, trust me. Just look at what happened to LA.
