Power could be on the move per 4th period
Power needs an Octane Boost.
Owen Power is a risky move for the Sabres……period. Wasted draft pick.
At best a fourth forward at 5v5, not a Defender in his own end. Plays 'toreador' on defense….
What a great idea to bring in yet another player with a lengthy injury history
Your completely delusional if you think there is the slightest chance either of these championship caliber players would choose to come to Buffalo. Ridiculous.
Joe please, Tyler Myers was supposed to 'grow into his big body' too….remember? 😝
Sam Bennet would be perfect for the Sabres, none of the others would even entertain and make no sense for the Sabres.
Puck Fower
Not that its happening but ill pass on EKBLAD. Dreaming here big time. Ill package UPL or even Levi, 9th overall, top tier prospect and next years 1st for Jake Ott from the stars. Next , ill package Benson , JJ, for Robinson.
OHHHHHH yes
Yeah… he sucks because McDavid beat him once. Weak rationalization, Joe.
Owen no power is risky to begin with
Lmfao. Delusional on both Ekblad and Bennett. That Sabres fans think that is hilarious. Do some real vídeos on FA's & Trade targets that are legit possibilities. Why would any established player who wants to win play for Pegula. He never spends to the cap. Adams is a joke should have been fired in December after the palm trees comment. Hey Kevyn the Bills dont seem to have that problem. Guys want to play for them. BUILD A FRICKIN WINNER YOU LOSER. Pegula hired a rookie GM so did the Panthers, Zito 3 months after Adams was hired..look at the difference. They both have 5 year streaks Zito has made the playoffs every year. Adams not once.
Ekblad 6'4", 215lbs 29yrs… had 3G, 30A, 33PTS. 7 Million cap hit. You get a veteran defender, experience. Not a terrible idea (not saying I would do it the cap hit is a little high), the Defense is one of the Sabres weakest points.
Clifton 5'11", 192lbs, 30yrs, YIKES: 3.3 million cap hit. Guys to put this in perspective Peterka with 27Goals, 41 Assists, 68 pts had a 855,834 cap hit. Bryson at 5'9", 174lbs, 27yrs and Clifton are you're weak spots on Defense. Samuelsson at 6'4", 224lbs, 25yrs 4.285mil cap hit at least has nice size. If Docker 6'1, 198lbs, 24 yrs, 805,000 cap hit can pan out, Power and Samuelsson can up their physical game… Ekblad could shore up that defense but i would move Clifton or Bryson to make room. Ekblad might elevate Samuelssons game also, not just Powers, and get Byrum (if they keep him) to play more physical. Sabres D Core outscored the Panthers D Core 191pts – 172pts just FYI.
I think Byram is better than Ekblad. Physically no, but offensively yes. I know Byram wants out because he can't be a top D man here. He can't even get PP opportunities and I feel that was all on Lindy. It may be the reason he wanted out because of those decisions. Ekblad would be good for Power but I wouldn't want him on any more than a 3-5 year deal. Buffalo do need a good RHD this offseason.
Ekblad ain't coming to Sabres. He will go back to Florida or end up in vegas or Anaheim
