While Vancouver would have been a better landing spot for Josh, I'm glad this trade didn't happen. Much prefer Cozens.
Small players that has a big impact, I always think of Steve Martins. Call up guy, but shifty as heck, playing in the big man's NHL. Admittedly small sample size, but he was so noticeable out there. Would have dominated in a different era.

I would have felt better for Norris if he landed there. I feel terrible for him that he's in Buffalo. Norris will be the next Jeff Skinner playing most of his career with no playoffs

Cozens is very nice he looks like lacks confidence infront of the mic and the negative defense numbers worry me
Getting another 1st and a guy with only 4.5 and 2 years is a ton of flexibility they could have taken a boom or bust pick with vancouvers and safe with ours and I do worry about Pinto feeling slighted haveing another righty brought in and placed ahead of him on the depth chart is also another worry but what's done is done i just feel Pinto has a higher ceiling than Cozens and we may have forced him into a defensive role bc Cozens isn't good at defense I hope Pinto is given a real chance to earn the 2nd line job not just giving it to Cozens

Here in Japan there’s a dish called oyakodon which is a chicken and egg dish. Oyakodon means mother and child with rice so they aren’t bothered by it.
Love the idea at taking Fiddler at 21. He feels like a well rounded player that should be a reliable middle or bottom pair guy. Best player available is always the right choice but another RD prospect would be great for our pipeline

I think what a lot of people are missing with the Van trade is that Chytil would’ve been eligible for a 1/3 buyout.
If we had bought him out at the end of the season we’d only have a cap penalty of 750k for 4 years.
So if we had done the deal and bought out Chytil we would free up 7.2m in cap space and still got a 1st. It wouldn’t have actually been horrible if this happened
Darcy Tucker sucks. I'm glad Ottawa never got him. Fisher/Neil always put him and Domi in their place and it was fantastic.
This was my first year working as an Edmonton Oil King Off Ice Official, and so I got to see Fiddler quite a bit and love the player and I’m salivating at the thought of the Sens drafting him so I can really follow him closely “at work” next season
