Rossi is 5'9 and plays like it. Also, just like Peterka, Rossi's EV production in his break-out year was…pretty much the exact same as Lafreniere's EV production in a down year (a season where just about every player on the roster had a down year). You'd be paying a premium to get a smaller version of the same player. Put Laf on PP1 and let him re-build his confidence.

Yeah, I wouldn't do it. The idea is to get harder to play against. Both players Rossi and Peterka are NOT what this team is looking for based on reports…sure these are 2 fine players who either one could be 60+ point getters. Though Laf has seemed pretty lazy to me I know he can hit and use his 6'3" frame and when he decides to hustle and bang bodies he breaks out like in the 2022 playoffs so unless you're losing Zib and at least one other finesse non-physical player neither of these guys would really fit the plan as I understand it.
Rather see them package the kid from anaheim, plus pick or prospect and zban retaining some of his salary, rather than trding

Lafrenière is bust!!! I don't understand the obsession with him. He is slow, not strong enough on the puck. It's terrible helping in defense. For God's sake, this guy was a 1 pick. As soon as Laffy got that contract – stopped scoring, stopped checking, stopped caring or trying. Soft quitters not wanted. Would rather get the Buffalo player. Peterka, who played well on a poor team, would be an upgrade.

As a Wild fan, these comments don’t know what they’re talking about. Rossi plays much bigger than his size and his all around game has improved year over year. Forecheck, defensive positioning, forcing turnovers, are much better than most players his size. A majority of his points were earned in the offensive slot fending off bigger players to get on pucks and make plays under pressure. I don’t think his production changes much if you were to kick him out to wing based on the way he plays, which is a possible move since Vinny and Miller are good centers. I think the small player narrative is bs, but that’s what Guerin is selling for some reason. You mention Drury in this video, Bill Guerin is insanely stubborn and when he’s made up his mind on a player there’s no changing his mind. Rossi is under 6 foot and the second he started asking for a contract over 5 mil BG decided to move him. Didn’t watch a ton of Rangers hockey this year so idk where y’all think Laf is at but I don’t think this trade is as crazy as some would make it sound.
