Henrique, arviddson, Stu or pickard (take your pick) they HAVE to go. Too much money, not enough or both. Bring Noah philip and savioe in. They are faster, younger and cheaper and then pray to god you can find a goalie. Maybe nurse too 9 mil still too much. And kane might be out the door too, what a no-show.
Get rid of the goalies. Get rid of Kane, Nurse, Ekholm, and some of the freeloaders on the 3rd and 4th lines. I know Nurse has a no trade clause. And just because you want better players doesn't mean there are better players to get. But GD they are so close yet so far away.

Oilers fans were way to overconfident..this is a good reality check..the question now is can u get McDavid signed..cause I seen a guy that looks like he is on his way out of there last night..that should be Edmonton's focus and nothing else right now, you will have to pitch McDavid this team is headed to a cup somehow after that massacre..not sure how Bowman can convince him..this offseason is the biggest in the McDavid era for the Oilers to convince him once and for all you will stop settling for AHL players around him and Draisaitl

Oilers showed greatness combined with a ton of inconsistency – other than starting slow almost every game of the playoffs. They were resilient AF and had some unbelievable comebacks. However, their team game was unfortunately not solid enough to compete with the Panthers. I find it amazing how large the gap is between the #1 and #2 teams, not to mention how both of these teams are far ahead of the #3 and #4 teams (as evidenced by the 4-1 Conference Final series' results)…My beloved Canucks clearly have a LONG way to go.

After Kanes embarrassing performance and sportsmanship displayed in game 5 I want him traded. And we probably have to. Problem with this team next year is we cannot afford to keep everyone. Drai is 14 million, if we sign Bouchard for 10 mil there is almost nothing left to resign anyone else. Connors next contract is also going to be expensive. We’re going to have Nurse, McDavid, Bouchard, and Drai all taking up almost 50% of the cap from the looks of it, how can you have any depth with that? In hindsight those offer sheets to Broberg and Holloway hurt us so much more compared to what we received from Jeff Skinner and Arvidsson. Not to mention the Jack Campbell buyout. And the problem is Florida will likely just make it back to the Final again next year. Their team is full of contacts that are very well balanced and the players they have are amazing playoff performers. Even if they lose Ekblad and Bennett, I don’t see it denting them too much. Tkachuck said it last night, they are a dynasty. Well the panthers had good management we didn’t for years and that is the difference. And it’s funny too because I heard that Bill Zito did and interview in Edmonton but they decided to go with Chiarelli. Not 100 in that but it’s pretty funny to think about. Reality is we are a good team, but I don’t know how we can keep it that way. Guess we will have a whole summer to think about it!
Not once in this series did the Oil show the kind of hustle and desperation needed to win a cup finals, I thought they would have learned from last year, but clearly they may never learn, they consistently wait to step it up until they're absolutely forced to
Florida outworked, outmuscled, and outstructured us. Their style blocked our stars, forced us into penalties, clamped us early, and shut down our comeback ability. No shame in this one—the Panthers played like champions, and our window closes unless we rebuild our depth, grit, and discipline
Eventhough Knobs has done an amazing job with the team being twice in the finals back to back, there is a conversation on how he can better in being more consistent with the line changes , discipline the team when it matters the most.
Panther fan here anyways, I'm not gonna say we're going to 3 peat, because that's very difficult instead something I think it's very interesting is Connor will be due a new contract very soon and if you overpay for him what is left over to bring in a great Goal tender, and then deprh is another essential ingredient you need for this team to contend once again

McDavid will be known as a great skill player, but never as a clutch player. 2 straight cup finals loses to the same team HAS hurt his legacy, at this point it's going to take a monumental effort of winning MULTIPLE cups to get his name back up with the greats, otherwise there will always be an asterisk, and Ray Bourging it doesn't count
Panthers are the most well rounded team in the league. I also think it didn’t help when many Oilers fans thought they won the series after game 1.
We all know what they need to do so not much to say about that. If the brass doesn't address this issue we'll never see a cup and thata a fact.

What the Eff were we doing out there last night I didn't see any fight at all, you figure being in the cup final would require some kind of effort that we never saw. The whole team sucked not just Stu. Bouch consistently had Lag irl , Kane couldn't stay out of the box among other things. I refuse to call McDavid the best player in the world, the best player should be a true leader and I didn't see him doing that, and at this point he is just Mid at best, and Drai needs to learn some more tricks other than slap shot from the corner. I am not just gonna sit here and individually point out every players flaws but we all saw what happened last night and we should be angry or even furious the Oilers didn't show an ounce of giving a shit so why should I give a shit about them. Its how I feel and now get what Leafs fans feel but they're team has been shit longer.
