As a Predators fan, I love this. We quite literally have our goon line (yes haha goon funny). Imagine Bunting, Haula, and L'Heureux on the same line… thats out Bennett + Marchand. Barry Trotz might be cooking
As a Devils fan he definitely has bounce back potential as he was playing pretty hurt in December-March. I just don't think it's going to happen in Nashville. Thanks for the pick and the cap room though. Also Marner to NJ is not happening.

Gotta stop with this Marner to NJ stuff lol, its not realistic in the slightest. Only 14M in cap space right now(potentially more after Palat is dumped) but Luke Hughes is likely getting 8-9M of that and then they have multiple forward and backup goalie spots that need to be filled with the remaining money. They literally cannot afford Marner.

Devils send Hamilton, Mercer and 1st to Vancouver for Hughes and sign Marner on July 1st. And ship Palat to Toronto (in some kind of deal) 😀

Nashville fan here – we’ve been confused since Trotz took over, so this is just another day
Marner to Nj is not happening lol. I think this gives us more flexibility for 3C while giving Luke max term.
Preds fan – I think my only way of spinning this positively is this: when Trotz makes moves that make no sense, so far they work out. (Bringing in Orielly and Nyquist when the team should be tanking) And when he makes moves that make sense they don’t work out (Stamkos + Marchy = failure somehow) so I’m just hoping this works out because it makes no sense

I think the best answer is his salary this year is much lower than his cap hit so if they start selling guys its cap they dont have to spend actual money on (nashville is a budget team in a rebuild)

Jersey fan. Everybody really liked Haula, but it was pretty clear this last season that they weren’t happy with the production on the bottom 6, and he was sort of the guy who took the blame. Helped free up cap to lock up Lukey.
