  1. Why exactly are you guys surprised. Dobson fired his long time agency and signed with Wassermann. You sign with them when you want max contract and crazy dollars. If you think dobson is worth 9.5MM or 10MM you guys haven't been seeing any of his games. He can't play D

  2. Who does he think he is ??? You’re good with paying 9-9.5 million wait so he’s worth the price of Charlie McAvoy lol, 7.5-8 tops and that’s it

  3. I'll have what Noah's agent is drinking. NHL's highest paid defensemen (2024-25 season):

    1. Erik Karlsson ($11.5M)

    T2. Rasmus Dahlin ($11M)

    T2. Drew Doughty ($11M)

    4. Zach Werenski ($9.58M)

    T.5 Charlie McAvoy ($9.5M)

    T.5 Seth Jones ($9.5M)

    T5. Adam Fox ($9.5M)

    8. Darnell Nurse ($9.25M)

    9. Roman Josi ($9.06M)

    10. Cale Makar ($9M)

  4. $11 mil for a serial puck fumbler? If he won't QUICKLY settle for $9 mil, ship him out. Make it 3 or 4 years and he'll have a chance to prove he's worth $11 mil, which he hasn't.

  5. The most I'd sign him for would be 9m aav. He's not going to budge by an entire 2m aav a year.

Trade him to Utah for the 4th overall pick. We can find someone in Free Agency with the money we're not spending on him.

  6. trade him for a good young scorer….NOT the #4 or #7…..I'm not sold on Hagens…

  7. Dobson does not want to play for the isles, he does not want to play on the east coast ! He wants to be in Cali !

  8. I understand negotiations. I don’t understand why, as it seems, the Dobson camp would make the first move. Yes, while the salary cap is going up, it has no impact on the value of the dollar. I can only believe that, by seemingly making the first move, the Dobson camp wants to force a trade. It doesn’t seem that the Islanders made an offer, then the Dobson camp countered. It seems the Dobson camp initiated. So, with all this, there are many reasons why I would trade Dobson. Not the least of which is that by the time this team is almost good, he’s too close to 30. Despite what Darche has said, I think this team is primed for a rebuild, and they’d be wise to go headlong into it.

  9. Swayman, Fedorov, Fabian Lysell and the 7th overall for Dobson, Pageau and a future 2nd??? This move would give the bruins tons of cap flexibility going into free agency.
