If the Rangers can get picks / prospects back for K. Miller that would be great. Keep stock piling the farm system. Then they can replace K. Miller with a Gavrikov signing 💪 I would look to get a 3rd team involved with Dallas who is in cap hell. Some team would Lafreniere, the Rangers would get Jason Robertson and Dallas would get picks & prospects back in return. Robertson is a much more proven goal scorer than Lafreniere and would be a big upgrade.
Laf is a guy, if traded, will be what Rangers fans dread. A guy who blossoms somewhere else in a big way. He needs to go back to his natural wing & play with JT. I cant see Rangers offer sheeting Peterka because where is the money & it's just too complicated. Rangers are making a mistake if they make a pile of moves this year. They need to wait until next year when cap goes up more & Bread's contract expires. I think Sullivan has a lot of input & I think Laviolette did too, which led to a disconnect with his players.

I would stay away from Peterka and play kids this year like Perreault, Othmann and give a kid like Center Dylan Roobroeck a good long look in training camp he’s 6’7 205 lbs and scored 20 goals last season for the Hartford Wolfpack. Panarin and his 11.6 million will be coming off the books at seasons end and Drury should keep working on trading Zibanejad and his 8.5 million contract which would give them 20 million dollars in cap space from both Panarin & Zibanejad to go shopping next July when the big fish like McDavid & Eichel could possibly hit the UFA market. Groom the kids this year then go shopping next July if they can move Zibanejad at some point. To build a cup contender won’t happen right away so Drury needs a plan that eventually will get him there. I wouldn’t mess up the cap now when next summer you can have big names available.

ZiB on the wing will be fine… his point production will rise .. he’s an asset .. can center can play on wing, kills penalties and will score on the power play ..he’s staying !

25-26 is a dead year. You’re not getting any cap relief from Miller. Can’t even afford him on the roster next year. Trade him and rebuild for 27 when Panarin and Laf plus others come off the books. Tank in 2025-26 and rebuild.
I am not trading Cuylle for anyone not named McDavid, and before we make boneheaded trades lets find out where McDavids head is at.
If anyone offer sheets JJ the Sabres will match it and JJ will be stuck in Buffalo. They also have his rights till 2029 so he ain't going anywhere unless the Sabres get a great deal in a trade & i don't think the Rangers have what the Sabres want. I definitely know they don't want K Miller. He is a LHD that they already have to many of and he blows.
