No state taxes did not build this team there guy name( Hot garbage sports )that explains why. This team was built on misfits and scraps from others teams not taxes yes no state tax but land tax and insurance is high in this state.
Im sick and tired of hearing this BULLSHIT about players NOT paying state tax is a reason the Panthers are so good having advantages over every other team minus Tampa Bay obviously. Now Florida hasn't had any state tax since 1855. So being that the Panthers first season was in 1994 why did it take 30 years to win a Cup? Because this isn't something that's just recently happened meaning the tax free state…..I'll tell you why very simply put, because NOT having players pay taxes has absolutely 0 to do with winning Lord Staney
Poor Huberdeau and Weegar
not a dynasty u clown
People toss dynasty around far too much.
the Isles were a Dynasty, the Wings were a Dynasty, the PAtriots were a dynasty.
Florida won 2.
as Mr Wold says in pulp fiction.
"let's not all start blanking each others…blanks just yet.
finish the thought"
this team cannot yet make a claim to that word, sorry but if you start tossing that around you sound like a pink hat homer that has no idea about hockey.
Coaching matters. We see it again and again across all major sports. Elite coaches are worth the same as a star player
Using state income tax as a coping mechanism is pretty pathetic lol
Not a dynasty. Yet.
Lol. No state income tax doesn't mean much. The real advantage of playing in south Florida is peace. No rabid, grouchy fan base expecting cup runs every year, no know it all media pestering you and stirring up drama and a small fan base that has other things to do besides fawning over hockey players. Most of the Florida players could walk down the beach and not be overun by a mob or even recognized for that matter. The cup celebrations have been low key and fun. I'm not trashing Panther fans either. They know how to act in public and view winning as a reason to party, not riot. And lets not forget the first piece to the puzzle was signed before Zito took over. Bob got 10 mil per for 10 years in a deal that the hockey world outside of Sunrise thought was insane.
Two years isn't a dynasty.
If state taxes actually mattered, how come the Dolphins and Marlins are pure trash?…..
nobody cared about state tax back when tampa and florida both sucked
and if you really do think its a big deal, vote for different politicians where you live and stop crying
it is NOT a dynasty. A Dynasty in hockey is 3 cups in 4 years. Stop clickbaiting you low iq boon
Panthers Rule!
When you find good, humble people and you get them to understand that there's no I in team. Nights of the round table, Florida Panters are #1
You do realize that this entire team was built from the draft, trades, and signing waived players. State tax has absolutely nothing to do with those scenarios and it makes you seem dumb to even imply that this team was bought and not built. not subscribed and thumbs down. You dont know hockey.
If one looks at how most of these players were acquired by the Panthers. You can see that it wasn't about the taxes. Any team in the league could have built a team like this.
#1 have the GM be related to the a powerhead in the NHL.
It's amazing how this team went from a hockey afterthought 20 years ago into a dynasty. I'm so glad I got to see them become champions in my lifetime. #GoCATS
Not gonna talk about their 4th line?
I love the third line The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
As of right now, I would bet that Florida wins the cup in 2026, making a true dynasty with 3 cups in a row!
The state tax argument is one of the dumbest I’ve ever heard. They spent their entire existence being awful and out of the playoffs until this recent run. They always had the no state tax which is silly because you end up paying more in other taxes to make up the revenue. They just drafted and built well and are reaping those rewards now.
Chicago? You forgot chicago dynasty.
