I was worried about the blue line all season, until we got Jones. No flaws…. I was worried about Chucky, but he adapted and played better and better.

The question is do you copy them or figure out another way. Bob is the MVP IMO. Toronto went up the middle at Center Ice exposing the Cats multiple times. They stopped the Oilers from doing that. As soon as McDavid touched the puck there were two layers on him in perfect spacing. Cats have Samoskevich close to making the roster.

I started playing hockey and watching the NHL in 1965 from my hometown of Boston, I've seen some Great teams, the Panthers are as shut down as it gets, one of, if not the best shut down defensive teams Ever, shutting down the vaunted oilers like it was nothing. In my 60 yrs of hockey it's Impressive and Rare.

If Panthers had no flaws, then why did people predict the Oilers winning? Either they underrated how good the Panthers were/are or their breakdowns had bias.
Panthers getting Lundell is just nuts. I was watching the draft knowing his background, he was the guy who made Kakko look like a world beater in Kakko's draft year. And getting to 9th on the draft I was already facepalming people not picking him. And then I was cursing the tv that if Panthers doesn't take him they don't deserve anything anymore, cause been a Panthers fan for a long time and frankly from his first season in the men's leagues Lundell has been dominant, so fan of his as well.
The scary part is that he has been getting better defensively every year and the confidence is now there to score as well. Honestly he'd probably put some silly numbers as 2c with Tkatchuk, but guess I'll take him as 3C all day with Luostarinen, no team has anything equal and you can't get there easily either.
