If the Isles cannot find a trade to their liking, and the two parties cannot agree on a long term deal, since Dobson is still an RFA, it could mean a one year deal to be decided by arbitration. Then the Isles would have the option to trade Dobson at the deadline. Not ideal, but certainly a scenario of how it can turn out.
