    SMH!!!! Only way giving up that pick makes sense is an offer sheet. Is Drury playing Russian Roulette? Massive signing bonus to Peterka? Never heard of this before & why wouldn't that impact the cap. If Rangers need that 2nd rounder back, they are going to get hosed. It must be discouraging to be a Rangers scout when Drury persists in giving up draft picks. Maybe he pulls a rabbit out of the hat but I fear the worst. Maybe that 2026 first rounder is going to be included in a K'iller trade? But why not just include the 12th pick this year if that was the case?

    People have to take into account, Drury's reputation "As an NHL GM." Is very poor by current players. So convincing them, they've got a chance to come to NY, ain't going to cut it. When you've got a clueless GM and owner who doesn't care about them winning a cup, so long as he makes a profit off of them every year, which he does. So nothing is going to change, unless Dolan and Drury are gone. Period, end of story.

    After last season I just want guys with the Mika entitlement gone. Sign guys like Patrick Kane and McJesus so we have something to watch at least.

    Something to keep in mind is that this is not a deep draft class for a top draft class supposedly next year‘s top 25 is better than this year’s top 10. Supposedly that’s what the experts are saying Scouts, etc.. per Pierre Maguire. If this team is not rebuilding however then it’s probably a matter of utilizing for a trade deadline for trades in general a draft pick is not going to help us win the Stanley Cup in the next five years even at number one.
