Diffusion radio d’Ella Fitzgerald et Chick Webb de la salle de bal Savoy, Harlem, NY. Je crois cet enregistrement à partir du début de 1939 avant la baisse de Chick Webbs Health. Sans doute l’une des plus belles œuvres d’Ella et Chick. Apprécier.

  1. Not Chick on drums, Bill Beason is most probably the drummer, far from Chick. Super trumpet by Taft Jordan, and trombone by Sandy Williams.

  3. Benny Goodman was called the King of Swing. Of course, we know this was gross exaggeration. Chick Webb was the true king of swing.
