  1. Travis Konecny is the PERFECT example of trading back and having it fall flat. How they decided to pass on Konecny and make that last second deal with Philly is an atrocious decision. I spat on my TV when Bettman walked up to announce that trade.

  2. these guys going back to Europe because Leafs don't give young guys a chance – steeves, 2 finns, – instead they bring in old guys like Thorton, marleau, spezza, giordano, patchorety and take up roster spots for young players to develop

If Leafs fans are blaming Tre and gang for his early moves still! 😂😂😂

Ok ok, the ones that got away will alwaays haunt you, sorry thats the truth.

  4. I'm glad Minten was traded for Carlo, if not for that trade we would never witness Carlos puck stopping colonscopy in game 7

  5. Their asset management is bad going back before that. Case in point, Alex Stern traded out after 3 years.

  6. I’ll be completely honest I’ve been listening off and on for years even as a bruins and edm fan because I’m a big hockey fan and I’ve got to say I think Jesse has the takes I agree with the most, Steve and Adam just seem to complain and nothing is ever anything you won’t hit on ever trade or draft pick guys my bruins haven’t drafted well since 2010

  7. Mad at Marchment being traded for low picks is worse?😂 What’s worse is Marchment being traded for “Twice Waived” Dennis Malgin.

  8. There is no analytics to measure the heart of a player.Dubas and his love of analytics didn’t work in Toronto and it hasn’t worked in Pittsburgh.

  9. Kyle Dubas ruined the Leafs – he completely did not get that grit and determination along with skill are what wins cups . Dubas thought he was smarter than everyone else and he would change the game by neglecting grit for our skill .

  10. I’ve always said this. If it’s not a top 10 pick, they are atrocious at drafting. Every other team finds stars outside the top 10 and in the later rounds. Knies is the only time they’ve hit on a pick.

  11. Dubas was a garbage gm. He completely ruined the leafs. Terrible trades, terrible contract negotiations. Horrific team building. Constantly overpaid significant assets for depth level players. Let all our good players leave and brought in bunch of 4th liners. Ruined the leafs

  12. Lou was handing out 2nd round picks like it was candy when the Leafs were still rebuilding. I wish the Leafs adopted more of Winnipeg Jets strategy, stay pat at the TDL until they're actually good. Also, before Dubas, the Leafs spent a lot of picks on giants w/ less skill which led to worse draft record. The Leafs had been drafting poorly for way too long, and couldn't develop a d-prospect into a top 4 defenseman-coaching staff also to blame for squandering development of every single promising young defenceman. Management and coaching staff prioritizing Justin Holl is also a big failure.

  13. The Leafs have traded away many of their 1st round picks for players who were not worth a first round pick! Brandon Carlo and Scott Laughton the most recent examples. They away Jared McCann as well.

  14. It's funny because I remember during that time Leaf fans said Dubas was an elite drafter & that the Leafs had an amazing farm system.

  15. There is literally not a single person in North America that has the audacity to say they cover sports for a living that has less credibility than Adam Wylde. He all but lived on his knees for Dubas for 8 years.. and now, with so little else to contribute, wants to sh*t all over him. Get this clown off the air

  16. Since the Nylander draft, the Leafs have drafted 10 players not named Nylander, Marner, or Matthews (Woll will eventually make 11) who have played in 100+ games, the majority of whom are pushing 200 or 300 games. That's pretty good drafting. Now there is an argument to be made that the Leafs haven't developed many of those players to reach their full potential. Sandin, Liljegren, and Dermott never took the step the organization needed them to take. Grundstrom and Durzi were shipped out before they ever really had a chance. Robertson looks like he's hit a wall. And there's no denying that 2020 looks particularly rough because they aren't going to hit on any of their 12 draft picks. But they are basically right in line with many of the other top teams in terms of overall hits when it comes to drafting players who can play in the NHL during this timeline.

  17. O think the Leafs pro scouting was way worse than the draft. They continually signed guys every other team passed on who were at points in their career where they were no longer NHL quality players. I get they had no cap space but so many bad, really really bad signings. They did hide some of these mistakes on LTIR but omfg such obvious mistakes

  18. you need to do a comparison video between treliving and dubas draft picks trades style of play and development of players , how many actually made the nhl , carlo's was a HUGE over pay as was laughton , rielly never returned to form and laughton is now a 4th line center , dubas wanted to change how hockey was being played in the nhl , revolutionize the game lol

  19. Leafs been giving away draft picks since the kessel trade… you’d think they’d of learn by now.

Only way to build a team is through the draft…. Especially a Canadian team.

  20. Never been a fan base that love to blame one guy more 😂 you would’ve thought it dubas took over a perennial cup winning team the way they talk

  21. Unrelated to the video. Is it crazy to y’all that there are kids graduating highschool, who were too young to remember Sidney Crosby’s golden goal? I was randomly thinking about that today and it made me a bit sad. 😭

  22. Mark Hunter would do no better, here in London he can buy players in the OHL n can't do that in the NHL when it comes to drafting

  23. I was just looking at the pathetic Dubas drafts from 2017 to 2020. Hopefully in the future we can use Ty Voit and Brandon Lisowsky.

  24. Oh, are we still pretending Kyle Dubas is some kind of hockey savant? Honestly, if you need more proof he’s not a heavyweight, just glance in the general direction of the Leafs’ roster during his reign — a Frankenstein's monster of talent with no spine. The infamous “Core 4 (or is it 5?)” were locked into a delusional dream of harmony and heroism, held together by no-trade clauses and contracts that would make a Wall Street banker blush.

Success? Ha! The only thing they consistently won was the press conference. And now, poor Brad is left with the cleanup job — armed with duct tape, goodwill, and about three years of cap hell. The Leafs aren’t just flirting with playoff irrelevance; they’re sending it flowers and picking out baby names. All thanks to the legacy of Dubas: a masterclass in how not to build a contender.

  25. This is why I'm very confused about why people are hyping up the picks Pittsburgh has in their rebuild. With Dubas in charge and his terrible drafting record, you should be afraid if you're a Pens fan. Very afraid. He's gonna waste all those picks on the same sort of players he wasted picks on in Toronto. If it weren't for hitting Knies, he'd probably be up there for worst GM in hockey.

  26. Did not offer Evan Rodrigues a qualifying offer. Protecting Hall instead of McCann in the expansion draft. Trading Marleau and losing a chance to draft Seth Jarvis. Trading Kadri. Letting Hyman walk. Letting Marner walk. Trading Sean Durzi for Muzzin when the Leafs were not ready to contend. Trading for Ceci who was not under contract. Letting Fredie Andersen walk. Signing Tavares.

  27. The BIG question is should the Leafs be sellers and get their firsts back and start a rebuild NOW or fumble around for 3 years and then rebuild. With Florida looking as the strongest team in the east for years, why not rebuild NOW.

  28. Adam: "The Leafs' asset management over the last 5-7 years has been, in my mind, pretty bad."

Pierre Dorion: "Hold my Gabriel's Pizza."
