  1. I’ve been sitting at my computer waiting for this ep like a nerd on harvard decision day

  2. Whether or not I’ve spent my entire workday refreshing YouTube for this podcast is none of your business

  3. wait we literally drafted the guy that plays like Bear last year? Nygard is the exact same thing with a better shot, give him time in the North American ice and he will flourish. I think we should draft Aitcheson or trade.

  4. Have to accept the fact Detroit's defense has not been as feared since the departure of Kronwall. Opponents were spooked about just where Niklas was during his shift. Aitcheson is a similar style of physicality, but can skate better, and score more in the dangerous areas. Only drawback is the chippy personal antics, and abandoning his zones of responsibility. Kronwall was more quiet and ardent game manager who rarely was out of position.
Niklas was also a late birthday and went undrafted in his first year of eligibility. Teams actually laughed when Detroit took him.
Carter Bear is the routine pick but there is just that chance SY wants a pick to shake up things.

  5. Big weekend for Yzerman as the wings don’t have the space to truly contend this offseason. Do they take a small step with a couple PK specialists, Kane and Provorov? Or blow it up and get impatient but possibly hit a grand slam?

  6. Great episode, nervous for tomorrow, and this would be my worst outcome for the draft. Also Max confirming to Brad that Reschny is in fact short and not the best skater was a very funny moment and what I have been sating to myself for the past month lol can't wait for the livestream tomorrow

  7. Five Swedes in the first round, my estimate is 5-6 and the only one missing is Eric Nilson.

Cheers boys, always fun to see all five in a roundtable.

See you in the chat on the live stream.

  8. Agree with Max 100%. You don't take a chance on an Achilles tendon with the likes of Aitcheson on the board. Bear also isn't big enough.

Carnonneau also a need at this spot

  9. At least half the league should be tanking the 25/26 based on Draft Class, remaining FAs/Trades and new CBA

  10. "Kesselring is a guy, not a dude"
THIS is the kind of hard hitting analysis that keeps me coming back. 😁

  11. If I am Yzerman, I am taking Eklund or trading the pick for 2 first round picks from Colombus and then grabbing Cameron Schmidt in the first round with the extra pick.

  12. I want Tanner Jeannot really bad. Wouldn't be against bringing back Mantha for cheap. I see us signing Ehlers and Eckblad. If they announce we traded 13th overall, I'm gonna assume it's Dobson or Robertson. We're going to do something, just not sure how hype it will be. Agreed, no more overpaid filler, please.

  13. aitcheson's floor is BEN CHARIOT?? what the f?? oh great thats brilliant! lets draft an AHL defensemen at the top of the 1st round. good one.

  14. I dont even understand why this is being discussed. That pick should be used only as a trade piece to get an established player. He could've already used it to get Peterka, but no, Stevie was daydreaming again, and Utah got him for peanuts. How long are the Yzerman fanboys going to lick Steve's feet before they've had enough? Do we give him until 2030? Because right now, that's how we're pacing before we make our first push into the playoffs. If he keeps that pick tomorrow at the draft and we dont come out of this season with a notable player (Dobson, Robertson, Petterson, Marner, etc.) it will be just another failure to add to Yzermans already long list. Next season will be a carbon copy of this season and people will be right back here defending him all over again. We need our Brisbois.

  15. Thank you gentlemen for a super interesting episode.
I'd like Ekblad but just short term.
I'm ok with either Bear or Aicheson, they sound like the type of players I'd like on the DRW. If Eklund is gone.
Or offer #13 to Pittsburgh to give them 3 picks in a row and somehow get their 1st rounder from next year.
