  1. So, as a Canucks fan, LOVING this. Canucks Twitter hates it, but I say otherwise. If he meshes with the guys, he could be a Blue n' Green Felon on the ice, and that's what we need for our team. If grit is what wins cups nowadays, WELCOME ABOARD EVANDER KANE!!! Now just get us Zadorov from Boston, and we're set.

  2. I’m guessing this move is a signal that the front office isn’t a big fan of this free agency class. Get Kane for a year and try again next offseason instead of signing someone to term that you aren’t a big fan of.

  3. This is a great trade. Vancouver only gave up a fourth round pick for a guy who scores 20+ goal. Kane is a legit top 6 foward

  4. Canucks realize they ruined their cup chances, right? They might make the finals, but Kane is gonna goon up and take bad pentalties that will cause them to lose in 5 games

  5. This was basically

    Podkolzin for Kane 1:1

    …1 year later

I’ll take Podz, the hardworking, good character kid over Kane the locker room cancer

This is so Vancouver, trade for a toxic guy no other team would take and spend 1/2 their cap on a player type they don’t really need

  6. Its the Canucks.
My expectation is roughly; "Duuh what to do now? Do we have any Petterssons..Maybe another Pettersson."
    🤓

  7. Looking at that roster, I'm getting big 2010's Habs vibe (no offense) except that they don't have Carey Price.

  8. Soooo, this means Boeser is probably gone now, right? Very similar production and likely cheaper than what Boeser would get as a free agent.

  9. goodluck to the canuckrs, you got yourself a selfish "ME" player who didn't come out for the handshakes, he is and always has been a scum, that's why he's known as cancerkane….

  10. Demko is indeed the big question. If the Canucks believed in his health going forward they wouldn't have re-signed Lankinen, good as he was last year.
The Kane trade makes sense for all involved. He's got one year left on his contract, which is probably the exact spot you eant him in. The Canucks need the grit and he does have genuine talent if you can extract it. The Oilers simply are in a better position than Vancouver currently but need the cap space.
Regardless, they need Pettersson to come back from the dead and maybe be even better than he was a couple of years ago.

P.S. to Adam's scepticism, Sherwood had 19g 21a last year, while being a great forechecker. Even without repeating the production most are very comfortable having him slot-in up or down the forward group.

  11. Jim benning screwing this team for another decade, paying oel 4.7 for this and next year really handicaping their cap flexibility

  12. Treliving didn't do the Flames any favors when he initially signed that Gaudreau contract, a 5 team trade list, and he walks away!! gimme a break, and then Tkachuk leaves.

  13. ep 40 is the forward Elias, d petey is the defenseman Elias, and mp3 is Markus

  14. Down at the bottom with Chicago lol What a fool. You're a supposed hockey guy making these foolish claims you must be either a Canuck hater or youve done far too much crack lol
Credit to the other 2 guys showing some logic.

  15. For the petterson naming, we have EP40, we have D-petey (the rookie), and we have MP3 for marcus petterson

  16. Can we use the rest of our Salary cap to hire Byfuglien solely for the purpose of giving him the middle finger before every game. What a plug. Absolute worst player to wear a Canucks jersey when it happens

  17. Remember when the Canucks had a good forward group but mediocre D? Now the Canucks have a good Defense but mediocre Forward? Why can't this franchise do two things at the same time?
