Tochet is going to quit 2 games into the pre season. Zegras is a horrible teammate and crappy human being. His teammates have all hated him since his US national days and nothing has changed since then.

Anaheim isn't going to regret anything. Zegras wants to play C and hes lower on the depth chart than Carlsson snd McTavish. Zegras was never going to find his gamecas a 3rd line C.
This is a no brainer deal for Philly but far from a home run. Flyers got this price because there is inherent risk. He may never find his game but Flyers desperately need skill so its a risk worth taking. A first round pick was a no go for Philly and if other teams were prepared to part with one, he would have been dealt elsewhere.

the Ducks missed the playoffs by 16 points and this guy thinks they're going to jump 20 points next season for a total of 100?? they've gotten worse so far and if they don't land Marner, I don't see how this is even close to possible.
Everyone's claiming the Ducks got shafted on this deal. They weren't. Zegras is super hyped because of his flash and NHL 23 cover pick, but the last 2 years have been full of injuries and have seen very little output from Z. He can feel like a straight up ghost on the ice a lot of nights and his value is probably at an all time low. Could it improve? Very possible but Anaheim is ready to move on and take that salary back.

If the Ducks sign Mariner or Robertson, even if they don't quite make the playoffs, Verbeek will save his job. Just don't give away our future stars…

I just subscribed as this was an informative video. I’m a lifelong Flyers fan.
As for the trade, i liked it because we didn’t give much up (as you guys stated). I think Zegras was a victim of a numbers game in Anaheim so i can’t blame Verbeek for making the trade. Let me say i’m still sick to my stomach over the Gauthier for Drysdale trade. Drysdale is a major disappointment so far. I was hoping to watch Michkov/Gauthier for the next decade. Can Zegras/Michkov be that 1-2 punch?
I look at it this way we traded Gauthier and Poeling for Zegras and Drysdale. We’ll know by next season who won the trade?

The Flyers just hired a coach that's a less talented version of Torts. Like you bring on a coach that doesn't like skill players and throttles their play. But also has no experience as a winner. Philly is such a fucking tire fire. It's embarrassing.

This is a massive get for the Flyers. Z wasn't going to get the time on ice he needs in Anaheim. Briere has to nail the draft which we never do. . Poeling is a good fit for the Ducks.
