You guys got Zegras for a steal… Him and Michkov might be the most fun to next year. As a Ducks fan I'll be checking on how that is going next season. The flyers needed to get bigger anyway and that happened with this pick.
Why are the Flyers basing their draft on other teams? What!? Who cares. They could be scamming so you dont take the guy they really want.
Time will tell if the Flyers nailed it,or whiffed on first round. How many highly praised players have disappointed? Can you say Nolan Patrick?

Taking a 3rd line center at pick 12 just doesn’t feel right in my head. Can only hope he makes it into the 2nd line. Just praying that the flyers development camp has improved and builds him up to be ready sooner than later.
I just get the feeling he would have still been there if they didn’t trade up. Feels like wasted resources for a third line center type player.
At 12 you pick the best player available and Danny dont understand that again a lot of players got a bigger upside like the d. Jackson Smith , Victor Eklund , Carter Bear, etc… they' re chosing the position and needs a player that probably got at 22 anyway , I dont believe what I saw in the first round for me its a nightmare 😢
Based on highlights I watched he is not flashy by any means but he his a very responsible player, tough, finisher, and willing to do the dirty work. He just looks like a future captain to me, I hope he can develop into one and help michkov where he lacks cuz of his tools (mainly height).
Who's playing on defense for the Flyers in the future we dont have a top 2 defensemen, look Montreal with the trade for Noah Dobson , I know we' re not in the same place for the moment but when you draft the best player available you could make big trade like that , Dobson, Guhle, Hutson, Reinbacher, and maybe Mailloux , building by the defense and you win championship thank you Danny Jonesy and espiecially Brent Flahr will see 😢
The negativity over this pick is silly. Pronman had him 15, McKenzie 17. He probably wasnt making it to 22. Either way I will never knock a team for being aggressive to get their guy. Hopefully they are right here but I like the big swing on a young, improving 6'5 center.
He wouldn't have been there at 22. Just look at the players at 22 and after.

I stumbled across a locked on pod for the rangers and he was gearing up for the draft. His conclusion was the rangers should draft Nesbitt at 12 if Mrtka wasn’t available. Obviously they didn’t end up making a selection. Just interesting that’s where Jack ended up getting selected @ 12
