Yeah the Ducks are doing some weird things. Granlund makes sense tho.
That was a really good deal for Granlund. 7M + California. In addition, he has fairly comprehensive no-trade clauses, so he doesn’t have to leave for Canada at least.
I'm just happy that someone talks about/reports on the Ducks whether it be good or bad news. Also, what is the over/under for how many games until Zegras experiences his first injury with Philadelphia?
From what I understand, the Ducks traded Zegras because Verbeek doesn't like players who hold out on contract negotiations. Zegras and Drysdale both missed significant portions of training camp while holding out, and both have now been shipped away. For better or worse, I think it's Verbeek sending a message.
