I know a lot of Kings fans are not happy with the Corey Perry signing, but I think he is a key to the Kings success. He brings something the Kings have not had since Dustin Brown retired. He is a player that gets under the skin of the opposing team and is annoying to play against. The Kings need some of that grit to their team. I think they should have made the move two years ago, but we will see how it works out. GKG!

I like Corey Perry in our roster, he adds character and toughness to the offence, for people to say that they’re going to boo him or boycott King’s games, good riddance to you! As for Ceci, he’s a vast improvement over Spence, a big body that will not be pushed around, like the Oilers did to Jordan and Gavrikov.

Spending 8 million on Perry and Ceci is absurd. Ken Holland might be the most overrated General Manager in hockey history. He has accomplished literally nothing after the greatest defenseman in the last 50 years retired
Put turc on the 1c or 3c he was better than Qb on the face offs. Kopi is getting older, Phil could be 3c… we are stacked on centers even helenious was good on 4c
I am personally so psyched to get Perry. He is a proven playoff performer, and he brings the front net grit that we were sorely needing. Never would have believed he would be a King, but I'm Stoked!!
I think Luc and Ken are fooling themselves thinking the Kings are anywhere near a cup contender, they need to be setting up the team for when Kopitar and Doughty come off the books. Last year we were one of the youngest teams that made the playoffs, yes we lost in the first round (Again), but adding Perry 40 years old, Dumoulin 33 years old, Ceci 31 years old, Forsberg 32 years old, Joel Armia 32 years old. Is this putting us over the top? Or just making us old and expensive?
And then signing Forsberg, really? 2 years? For 2.2 million? Why, if we have any real young depth talent, its at Goaltending. Id rather have Copley for the 1 million, and then maybe Portillo if he’s healthy, then the following year 2026-2027 you may have Carter George like what are we doing?
First mistake Holland as GM has made. Corey Perry paid too much and too old. Hopefully they can deal him before the trade deadline and get younger. The rest of the moves Holland made on July 1 were good. The blue line needed help. Good job Holland.
