The Blues got dimensions and hypotheticals, the Habs got a proven NHL forward. We'll see.
I really wonder if the Blues didn't already think Dvorsky, while not ready as an NHL center yet, could help on the wing while learning ala Thomas, as you mentioned.

I agree. I think Bjugstad may be better at 3C and Sunny is 4C, and yes, the 3rd line RW is weak – and yes I would love to hope that DVorsky can take that role.
Leddy just got put on waivers
Leddy is gone now and they traded a winger for a right Dman, though I am sorry to see Bolduc go, but I understand the reason. The other two predictions I made were bringing in a second line center and a 50/50 trade possibly on Faulk or Scheen. They also replaced our bottom six center which I think is a definite upgrade. I always thought that Pius Suter would be the one possible free agent that they could bring in for the 2C. But the contracts that centers are getting is way over value.
Tucker superiority!!! Also you guys did not talk about one possible solution to the center problem: Zach Dean. He’s NHL ready and can drive offense. As long as he stays healthy, I truly believe he’s our guy
Good trade for both teams. No one in St. Louis wanted to lose Bolduc…but it takes good players to get good players. I am confident Mailloux is going to be a very good player.

This team is still a player away on a bridge deal for the offense. I have nothing against this trade as the Blues dealt from a position of strength to a Canadien team that was dealing from a position of strength. I just wish folks would get off of Kyrou and stop crying about trading Bolduc. You have to give to get.
The defensive pairings are pretty well set with Parayko-Fowler, Broberg-Faulk, Mailloux-Tucker. I am hopeful that this also opens the door for Texier to shine because if he can't or they won't, it is pointless to keep him, and they should trade him.

The apologists tour, hate to break this to your Math when we were eliminated we had both Zac and Jimmy playing meaningful minutes. So are we better off now, clearly not. What percent, I would say -2%. Master class in horrid asset management the Bolduc trade was, now will this trade be ruinous in five years, who knows. A GM must get more then sending the better, proven, cost controlled player for a talented but unproven player. Not only is the better player being shipped out but the Blues are taking the most risk.
I loved how Bolduc was coming along but hated some of his stupid penalties.
