15th straight season – no playoffs.
Quinn and Zucker wouldn't be in any top 6 in the league, 2 backup goalies starting, this team is a dumpster fire. Adams has 5 years on the job… got rid of Eichel, Reinhart, Peterka and this is your roster? What an embarrassment.
I watch many teams and sabres are far from being critical. Try watching msg and rangers coverage when they sucked this past season. Now that's critical and honest broadcast.
15yrs. Major Fail keeping Adams. Will this roster have a chance to make playoffs, really? NYR and DET will for sure be better this year. Will MTL and NJD sink out of playoffs? And we still need to beat out BOS, PIT, and PHI.
Unless some major moves are made, this will be another basement dwelling season. I'll still suffer through every game hoping for signs of life, but won't be expecting much…Right now this doesn't really even look like a legit NHL roster…
When you hear him talk after day 2 of FA, unless Byram doesn't get traded (which sounds like Adams doesn't want him to go anywhere, including matching offer sheets) but overall this off season is over and yet, it surprises no one.

Second class organization. Adams is out of his league (and insulting to fan intelligence), Terry has his head in the sand and the game attendance will reflect that. This soap opera has been going on for a very long time, clown show.
This talk about spending to the cap is nonsense, this owner pays every one mega million and then they play bad, Cozens was given a huge contract after an outstanding season of 31 goals then 2 years in a row was the worst player. Same with UPL. You are forgetting that we have to pay skinner’s buyout 4.4 mill this year and 6.4 next year, you lose that cap space. The reason they have cap space is to sign everyone of their own players which the owner has done and to hopefully bring in a top talent but nobody wants to come here, the owner was ready to give Necas a mega milllions deal and trade with Carolina was worked out but he didn’t want to come here. Why pay to cap for a team that’s stinks? He has paid to cap limit before for dead last place teams. Spending an extra 5-8 million would do anything because it would not bring in anyone any good. Remember, Skinner buyout so take away 4.4-6.4 million.
Worrying about not having the Cap Space is a Copout! Teams don’t have to be “Cap Compliant” until just before the season starts!
Which means that they can be as far over the Cap as they want, as long as they’re below it by the time the deadline is.
So they could Sign Ehlers AND match a Byram Offer Sheet at the same time. Yes, they’d have to keep Byram for the season, and they’d have to Waive or trade players at that point, but they’d have players like Ehlers and Byram, so that’s a GREAT “Problem” to have!
Drop Malenstyn and bring in Kozak!

Since the Sharks are pretty thin on Defense and are trying to get above the Cap Floor, I’d show Samuelsson to them. He’s at least better than half of their defense and would become their highest paid defenseman. And since he wouldn’t be worth a high enough draft pick (regardless of how bad the Sharks are, we’re not getting a 1st for Sammy lol), and not worth a Top 6 player, I’m thinking we could at least get a defensive prospect back.
Artem Guryev is a 22 year old, 6’4” 215 pound defenseman (though he’s also listed as a Forward, so he may be a decent skater) that seems to like to hit.
I’m pretty sure San Jose would prefer an experienced player (even if it is Sammy) to fill their roster and help their cap situation.
