@Kings de Los Angeles

1. Good luck to Primeau in Carolina. +5 million for Dvorak is insane to me, and the deal I was hoping for with St Louis sadly never happened. Lazy Laine and a 3rd round pick to St Louis for Kyrou would be fantastic for Montreal, maybe not so much for St. Louis but that doesn't really matter now does it. All this masterful work will be thrown away if Laine gets a raise next Summer instead of being moved or allowed to walk away. They need to cut money somewhere and where better then the highest paid lowest effort player.

  2. Big moves right here!
    And poor Primeau man… getting traded for a single draft pick must have hurt the feels a little

  3. Not gonna lie, I'm a lil'bit worried for next season's PK & 5-on-5 shutdowns against top teams from having lost Dvo & Armia on top of Heineman. But I like Bolduc very much, brings in a perfect blend of Oomph, playmaking, speed & positional versatility we needed to mesh with Demidov and/or Newhook, maybe even Dach if he can finally find his legs back, and his killer of a shot shot should do wonders on PP2 as well. I also love the no-risk potentially high-reward bet on Sammy Blais, seems he's found a second youth in Abbotsford, was a savage beast out for blood for them in those AHL playoffs, perfect guy to buy time for Flo Xhekaj in any case.

  4. In 3 or 4 years Mailloux will be as valuable as Dobson will be. So ask yourself, would you trade Armia, Pezzetta, Heineman, Dvorak, and two 1st rounders for Bolduc and Blais? If not, it hasn't been a good few days for HuGo.

  5. What’s up with all GM’S cracking open a protein shake at every press conference. I will purposely never buy that product just because it’s so cringe.

  6. If he had remained in Montreal, Mailloux would have carried around a whiff of something unsavoury. Elsewhere, he won't have that baggage.

    The Canadiens, too, are rid of a possible needless controversy in the future when Mailloux would have moved up from the minors.

    At the end of the day, Mailloux owes a debt of gratitude to the Canadiens, and the Habs owe a debt of gratitude to Bergevin.

  7. When I see Bolduc, I see a potential fit with Michael Hage, speed, shooting, puck handling, just at a glance of course, in the near future I hope. Like the changes, love the show, I too am gonna miss the old gang…..thx

  8. I like the trade. Both teams are sorry to see their picks go, but I don't think we understand the upside of Bolduc yet.
    We know what held Mailloux back.
    Also, both teams traded surplus for needs.

  9. Mr.Junkie sir I gotta say I don't know what's going on with the background music these days but I gotta say, respectfully, I'm not a big fan lol

  10. Habs are trying to square up on their muscle. Think that has been the moves they have made, they have the stars but they need the muscle behind them. The playoffs showed us that this year big time. Cant wait for the season to start!!!

  11. Sorry for Armia and Dvorak but Habs don't need them anymore, they instead need salary cap space and they got some pretty good amount of that salary cap space without sacrifice in my opinion

  12. Sammy Blais had a great year in Abbotsford. He's almost a point a game AHL player and he had a great playoff 19 points in 23 games as Abbotsford won the Calder Cup The year before he lead the Blues in hits while playing only 53 games St Louis didn't extend him but he managed to get an AHL contract with Abbotsford. He was on the roster when St Louis won their cup.
