    So given that free agency and the offseason is in full force, I did a little history searching a couple of days ago:

    Did you guys know, in the Pittsburgh Penguins franchise history, since RFA’s and offer sheets came to the NHL, the Penguins have never offer sheeted a player from another team not even have they ever made an offer and it was unsuccessful and they also have never lost a player to an offer sheet.

    From what I found out the only time the Pittsburgh Penguins ever had another NHL team offer sheet one of their players was in 1991 when the Boston Bruins tried to offer sheet Kevin Stevens, but the Penguins matched it . I thought that was very interesting. Finding out that history about RFA and offer sheets with the Penguins.

    my worry is if let say dubas dont like the offer now and wait until deadline but what happend rackell and rust get hurt and play poorly like there value gonna drop and might backstab dubas now

    I have a feeling we are all expecting to have a peaceful quiet Independence Day, but Kyle Dubas may have other ideas tomorrow lol.

    Guys, a small detail that hasn't been talked about……..Raks & Rust are both ONLY 5$MILL with term still!!!!!! For teams pinched at the cap, those teams could easily find a move to get one of these guys. Both 30+ goal scorers who make 5$ mill with 2 & 3 years left, at least I believe that's correct. So, Edmonton wants yet another winger besides Manipagnie (I know, don't correct me) no problem. Carolina wants Raks, tbey have loads of picks & prospects! Or they finally see how bad their d is moving the puck out of their zone and call for EK65, we can take 3-4$ mill for 2 years plus a 1st next year + prospect! We're in a fantastic situation for returns on our guy's. IF it's going to happen……I hope we don't trade Rusty.
