  1. Florida has done a fantastic job retaining its core talent. I will give Drury extra credit if he can figure out how to pry Brady T from Ottawa without giving up the farm.

  2. i'd still hope for a solid 2C or 3C (maybe use the 2nd rd pick from Carolina) if Mika plays RW (which he should w.Miller). No way Trocheck at 1C. Brodz or parssinen are good fill-ins at 3C currently but not 82 gms or playoffs

  3. Perrault shouldn't make the starting team , he needs to bulk up play a year in Hartford see how we look later in the year get a few games ,but hes not ready.

  4. What about Brennan Othmann? He played pretty well at the end of last year didn't he?

  5. Where is this Drury interview? Was it filmed, or just a written interview?

    I can't find it.

  6. At this point Othmann should be higher on the depth chart than Perrault. Despite Mika's resurgence at RW I'd like to see him 2nd line center and Trocheck 3C. Despite last season's disaster he'd often center against the other team's top lines. I'm sure as the season evolves they'll try different looks to see where he fits but I'm expecting at least somewhat of a bounce back season with Mika

  7. I believe we have to remain realistic with Gabe Perreault. I'm sure he'll develope into a fine player.

But for now, in July of 2025: he still has the body of a teenage kid. Be patient with him, let him work hard to build some muscle and increase his core strength to the NHL level.

A year or 18 months in the AHL will be very productive for these achievements.

Having him forced into the lineup, when he's clearly not physically ready: will only result in Perreault getting knocked around and with a high probability of serious injury.

Othmann and Berard are already ahead in development, and I'm sure they have been spending the off-season doing exactly that: building up their core strength.

Especially Berard: who I see as very close but needs to build up that core strength and stamina; so he doesn't get knocked around.

  8. Love Vinny’s chirping, but he’s not 1C material. Had a career season 2 years ago filling in for a concussed Chytil. But his skill set is more 3C. Need another true top 6 center.

  9. Not sure how honest you are being about this team. The upcoming season will be a complete dumpster fire. They are old, slow don’t ir can’t defend. Who’s the alpha on this team who on this team cares more about winning than what they are making salary wise?

  10. You said that Gabe Perreault does not have a unique skill? You can't judge him by just 5 NHL games during a chaotic year. Perhaps you did not see him play at BC. He is credited with a high hockey IQ. Yes, he is not ready for the NHL. In fact, if I were management; unless you are Connor McDavid, no player starts at the big club, even if you are a top first round pick. Start them in the AHL and call them up when they adjust to playing with men. You are asking a lot to have a player come to the NHL after playing in the juniors or college, the difference is huge.
So, if Perreault is assigned to Hartford, that is cool.

  11. This roster is not winning a Stanley cup anytime soon but if use the assets we have to get younger and stronger then Drury needs to do it even if it means sacrificing next season. The prize next offseason is winning the lottery and Conner Mcdavid. If I can get a kings ransom for Mika, Panarin (free agent) and Fox then I'm doing it.

  12. What the Rangers have to do now is have a winning morale in the locker room. They have to have some sort of chemistry which they lack last year.

  13. Are we really being serious right now…. Mika has 1 off year (the whole team had an off year) and now everyone is trying to say he's no better than a third line center….. Get your head out of your ass.

  14. Now I get where you and a lot other are coming from. Lindgren is not a great defenseman. He's better than decent, but he's not great.
Maybe your understanding of a depth player is different than mine. A depth player is someone who can fill in when needed, kinda like a long-reliever. Raddysh played 80 games on the best team in the league. He's a starter, not a depth guy.

  15. I agree panarin has got to go, but not until trade deadline. If mika sees him leave, he might change his mind also. Thats frees up tremendous amount of cap room…for…..

  16. Like many of us I've been watching the org's shorts and clips from in the lockeroom and interviews… I believe Panarin has not been a "ringleader" type guy; I dont feel like he would be leading a revolt or anything like that. I do feel he'd attend and support leadership, but if you look at how he interacts with teammates, he's not a vocal engaging guy with them. It always felt to me like he's supportive and just earns his respect in practice and in results on the ice kinda player. Go ahead, look at old clips, I just don't get the feeling he's calling up teammates to meet at his place kinda thing.

  17. I’ll tell you what I think about the recent movements most of what they’ve done this off-season I’m pretty happy with. I’m sad to say Keandre Miller go yeah I know they had to trade him but as I mentioned to somebody else, my issue with that is they Carolina a player who is fast has good reach and has good size and can do a lot of things with his body. Yeah, he doesn’t appear to be a physical defenseman, but you know what’s gonna happen. The guy who works with Rob Moore. His assistant coach is gonna work with Keandre and I bet you he’s gonna be a better defensive player and if he ends up being a much better defensive player, Caroline will have made out and the reason it’s because he’s already developed he’s 25 he signed for eight years. Let’s say he plays really really well for the next 5+ years Caroline it’s gonna have us have a star on their hands. Meanwhile, the Rangers have prospects a first round second round next year and a young guy might turn out to be good but might not and the other people haven’t even been drafted yet it’s gonna take 4 to 5 years to get them to the NHL so we’re not even an hour for a long time whether they’re gonna be any good or not Candry’s already here and he’s already done developed and he’s already a veteran at 25 years old, so the Rangers gave up on him Caroline may turn him into something really great that’s what scares me now the same time might not listen to his coaches and might just play a so-so game and piss everybody off and the Rangers, which case fleet Carolina if that’s what happensbut I’m not so sure that’s gonna happen. I’m concerned about how great Keandre can become now that he goes somewhere else with a coach that isn’t lousy like Phil Housley he was off rangers never should’ve hired Phil Housley. I hope no team the NHL ever hired Phil Housley to be offensive coach cause he’s terrible.

  18. Just kidding yourself with 10 & 93. Need to go . If not another waste of a year. Them 2 dissappear in the playoffs. Add some more grit.

  19. McDonagh was traded away in 2018 and Fox's first season was 2019 so I'm not sure when they would've played together… 🤔

  20. Expensive??? It's the ny freaking rangers. They have the money and can build the team any way they want. And 7 mil is cheap compared to what trouba and the rest of the nhl defenseman are making. You sound silly – silly, silly I tell you

  21. If carolina offer sheeted kandre the rangers would have received a 2026 1st, 2nd and 3rd as compensation. Don't you guys do research?? Drury got a 1st and a 2nd. Your research is silly. Silly silly I tell you

  22. Hey Bret you dont mess up a no1 1st round generational pick by swapping his wing spot. That's a silly comment. Silly silly silly I tell ya. Laff just isn't that great. Silly

  23. They will be a better team with Mika at JT's right, Parssinen at 3C and Gabe in Hartford. I still hold out hope that Soucy will not be on the team comes training camp. I also think with someone like Parsy at center, not to mention Raddysh, it is a lot easier to have the smaller Berard on the third line; with Mika who never hits anyone, that probably couldn't be the case.

  24. What does it matter if a player is C or W – teams need DIVERSITY, learn from the Panthers.
