I don't think quinn resigns in van city next yr he is too focused on playing with his brothers in jersey so van would be better off trading quinn at trade deadline this year get something for or watch him walk in the summer next yr.
When the no win prima donnas acquired kane, playoffs are no longer an option.
It's easy to rag on GMs for not creating the perfect team. I think you're right. Our people have made the best out of limited options, and I love that we're keeping our guys.
Alivine has complied a promising group. We'll see how it goes in October. A thought about Kane, was a 20 goal scorer in a team where McDavid and Leon get first dibs on ice times. I wouldn't be surprised if Kane is back to his former 30 goal a season self in Vancouver.
The plan is simple !! Lose , lose some more and not make the playoffs 😂😂😂
I like watching the "likes" go up.👍😁🤗😘
Vancouver as been too comfy w failing too much to ge tthe desire to keep having fun winning . I hope they address this.
Basically Canucks 2025-26 is same as 2024-25 minus JT Miler added Kane and Chytil. Still got no one to play with EP40, I thought that's supposed to be a priority.
Is this enough to push us to the next level? Most fans think not.
No one we have clicked with EP40 last year. Most options like Ehlers and Zegras are already gone.
Not good guys. And if we don't do well this year, Hughes is gone. Even McDavid may wants out of Edmonton. Why would Hughes stay with the Canucks?
Team Rutherford has a habit of making moves late in the offseason, so you could even see a trade done in training camp. I'm not going to pass judgement on this roster until the puck drops on the first round of the season. After a lot of trades going right or mostly right, it was concerning though to see them swing and miss as much as they did at the trade deadline. With all the unknowns, I think of the Canucks as a quantum state team where at the same time they're a playoff team, a struggling bubble team, and falling in the standings towards a high draft pick.
One thing I'm seeing is a huge over correction to every roster problem. Prospect pool cupboard empty? Ask for a bunch of older prospects with shorter runways to the NHL in trades. Defence corps a shambles? Trade, draft, and sign as many as possible until you create a logjam. Centre depth a problem? Draft a lot of centres, likely to be followed by trading defencemen away to get centre depth and create a new logjam. The worst over correction has been to trade away all the character veterans in the room for not much, when you needed those guys to keep Miller in check.
It isn't exciting, but this is probably best case scenario. I'd consider kane a top 6. Team is healthy. We are a fringe playoff team, but our back end and goaltending is solid. What sucks is losing Silovs for nothing
Looking at this team, I wish Allvin gave Granlund $7M AAV (maybe even more term since we are Vancouver) as the 1C
Theyre retooling this team and building from the back end out. Its quite obvious. Its not exciting, but i dont mind it considering they HAD to trade miller/pettersson. Devastating hit to their offense. Goalies and defense are locked for the foreseeable future so its nice that they can just pretty well focus on fixing holes in the forward group, which isnt terrible to work with. It wont be this year, but theres still the pieces if petey gets back to form.
That fake chef 👨🍳 pic of Alviin always cracks me up
Hes probably one of the Worst GMs in Canucks history
The Miller Trade alone was just brutal
Then Letting Zadorov and Lindholm walk for nothing
At least Alviin Apologized to Brock. Otherwise, Brock was gone, Alviins comments at the trade deadline about Brock…
Fun Fact: Hughes liked Miller and at the end of Season interviews Hughes praised Miller as a teammate
Most of the Team loved Miller
Most True Canucks fans love Miller
