How could you forget Lageson playing for the Grffins? He's the only player I've seen get someone to tap out in a rear naked choke on the ice. That said, they called him up for months and he barely laced them up.
I dont think we make the playoffs and to what carlo said that steve is stacking up for next offseason or for a trade. Eventually steve will need to pull the trigger to trade a 1st and more to get a top line ready now player. Cant really see any of the prospects being that in the next 1-3yrs+
this team will crumble if injuries happen to your core 4 in Larkin, Raymond, Seider, and Ed so steve signed players he can sell at the deadline and hopefully draft a top 5 player again hopefully mckenna screw the blackhawks

I still don"t get how we still talk like we haven't missed the playoffs by a combined 6 points the last 2 seasons lol. And I don't understand why the players simply playing better and more consistent is never the so called frustrated fans solution. If there are no more moves made and we don't have the same bad injury luck I can almost assure this team will make the playoffs. I just wish people would really be honest and have context.

Nailed it. Berggren deserves at least 20games on the top line.
If he fails than trade him and next up is Elmer. If either of them passes than we solved the LW problem.
Worst thing we can see this YR is if JVR, Compher, Ras, etc play on 1st line.
Or worse yet they move Copp 2C and Kasper to LW.
Byrum will be traded in August after his Arbitration is settled.
His value is interesting considering it took a 2nd round pick to move casety mittlestadt for charlie coyle on expiring contract

Dallas isn't cash strapped. Ilya has trade value and actually might be interesting short-term solution for Detroit.
Dumba can just be waived to AHL.
Why in the world do you want to move Eklund to LW haha.
He's a perfect 2C. He is literally everything you'd want in a 21yr old 2C.
Everyone is looking for next Sam Bennett and we have it in Kasper and you want to move him to LW?

When Ras, Compher, Elmer played 1st line.. Larkin and Raymond looked like SHIT!
So if Larkin and Raymond looked like SHIT… how and the hell was Berggren supposed to do anything?
The dude needs a REAL SHOT before we give up on him. Give him 20games to start the year.
I agree with you on 26-27. I think we will be a comfortable playoff team.
If Nate, Mazur and Bear look like Shit after 26-27 Draper needs to be fired.
If don't make playoffs 27-28 season and young talent not popping off Yzerman needs be fired.
For this season your just looking:
1: Compete Wild Card
2: Get a good look at Bergs/Elmer/Albert
3: Full season Kasper at 2C
4: Full sesaon Simon/Seider
5: See if Mazur, Nate, Lombardi, etc can make the team
If a fan is looking for more than that.. delusional
I strongly believe RedWings have a realistic chance of getting 2 of Kyle Connor, Eichel, Necas and Kempe.
Augustine and I.Howard will be part of Red Wings in 2026.

Can Mr. Happy work his magic? When did he ever have “magic”. Toronto finally figured out ShanaPLAN Shanahan had no magic (nor can ANYONE articulate his so-called PLAN). Mr. Happy was painted with the same brush. How long have the Wings missed the Post Season and how long does a rebuild take? It certainly looks like Mr. Happy can get many years!!!!
