    I doubt Romanov resigned long term if sorokin was leaving, they’re good friends. Plus it moves him away from the person who he’s the GODFATHER of their child, Shesterkin. There are two conversations that would happen:
    Bowman: DAAAARCHE! How about sorokin?

    Darche: hey sorokin, wanna leave this team and your best friends behind?

    Too many things factors for it to happen.
    I can’t see what moves the Oilers can make now to clear that much cap room to fit him.
    Also, the oilers have no prospects of note.
    They are also short on draft capital.
    Can’t see this trade going down.

    Would he be amazing as an Oiler amd would I like to see him in Edmonton yes, but how would the Oilers do it with there cap not saying it's not possible but it will be difficult to acquire

    yeah i guess isladnder is gonna trade him and if you do that gm is fire right away you dont trade3 top 10 or top 5 goalie in nhl

    I mean both teams are at a different spot that could benefit them. Oilers are on the verge of obtaining the cup all they may possibly
    Need is that goalie and Sorokin may be it. On the other hand Sorokin may only be 29 I think and islanders aren’t any closer to winning a cup than they were and at Sorokins age does he want to commit to the islanders rebuild/retool. There’s a lot of movabnor parts in this but I’d def consider it

    0% chance the Isles move Ilya for draft picks. Even two #1's and a #2 it wouldnt make sense. Those draft pics would be late first round picsk and wouldnt develop for 5 to 6yrs by that time the currently young crop of Isles would be ready to go.
    Id say there is close to a 0% chance this happens. And Ilya is best friends with Shesh who is also in NY. He would excercise the no trade clause unless it was a sure fire cup team.
