@Penguins de Pittsburgh

  1. As a Penguins fan, I'm glad the team was not relocated. While it would have been nice to have the team in Canada for travel, I've been a fan since seeing Mario Lemieux in 1990, and I could not see the team anywhere else other than Pittsburgh.

  2. I think even if he bought the team, and kept his bid, if it came to relocation due to the Isle of Capri license getting rejected, Balsille would try to move the team to Hamilton. And not only would the vote to relocate be rejected during the season, but he’d be forced out at the end of the 07’ playoffs. The Pens probably move to KC, but if they stay, I think there’s a chance they get bought by Josh Harris instead, who begin considering sports ownership at this time, and bought the Sixers in 2011.

  3. It would be cool to have another Canadian team, but I’m glad an owner can’t just buy a team and move them. That would be devastating to a fan base

  4. I'm a Leafs fan. I would love Hamilton to get the Tigers back in action but under a guy who knows what he's doing. Balsillie was the COMPLETELY wrong guy to own a team. Trying to move Pittsburgh like it was the 1970s days with expansion when Oakland and Cleveland were bouncing around. Also, the fact that he was confident that Bettman was going to let him do this is just insanely stupid.

  5. It's a crying shame when teams get moved because of things like arena deals or bad ownership. I am always astounded by these rich ar$eholes who can afford a hockey team but they can't afford to build an arena and they need taxpayer money to get it done. There's no way the public should be forking over cash to pay for these buildings when the team wants to keep the money from the parking and concession sales ect and get sweetheart deals on rent. The LA Kings built their own rink on land they own. That's how's they should all be doing it. Shame on you NHL especially if you give a third team to Atlanta. Things like this have put me at odds with the NHL lately and it's really killing my love for the game.

  6. 175M for the Pens at the start of the Crosby, Malkin, Fleury, Letang era is insane!

  7. hockey is Canada's game Balsillie was right Americans care way more about football baseball and basketball anyway and Hockey is everything in Canada so the penguins should have moved to Hamilton its just stupid how Canada only has 7 NHL teams and at this time there was only 6 that deal definitely should have worked

  8. I love your videos! I'm new to watching hockey properly and your videos give a great insight into pieces of history etc. and they're really well made and enjoyable to watch 🙂 Great work!
