  1. The Wings have been horribly quiet in this off-season thus far. Perhaps it is because they still need to cash in a few "Future Considerations" assets from previous trades. One of those is with Anaheim from the Ville Husso trade. With a wink and a nod between Verbeek and Yzerman, I can see McTavish heading to Detroit within the next few weeks. (wink)

  2. I'd love him in Ottawa, and I hope Staios is giving Verbeek a call about it, but realistically, Ottawa doesn't really have the assets to make the move, so I hope he stays in Anaheim or goes to the Canucks.

  3. Funny that no one mentioned Canadiens, because this is the best fit for him and for the team. Also the best odds of building an amazing team to go get the cup in a few years

  4. The red wings DO NOT need a 2C. We have Marco who did play wing in line 1 but long term is our 2C. Would still love to have McTavish if the opportunity arises which is highly unlikely.

  5. Vancouver can’t hold on the 2nd line centers so @ lest if he goes there you know everyone will get a chance @ him with in the next 2 years

  6. Verbeek even said the plan is for Carlson and Mctavish to be the top 2 centers. Strome being 3rd. Granlund is as much aa a wing as a center. They brought in the vets to support the younger pieces

  7. I don’t see the sens making a move. He would be our 4th centre in terms of depth behind Pinto,Stu, and Cozens. And the team doesn’t want to mess with the third line of Grieg Pinto Amadio since it’s somewhat of an identity line.

  8. Alex Killorn would be a better choice for the Ottawa Senators than McTavish, way better career- Sens- David Peron, Taylor Boucher
Ducks- Alex Killorn,2nd round pick 2026

  9. Great for fit NJ. Fitzgerald is too incompetent to land him. Hughes sucks at center in terms of faceoff percentage. Slotting him on the wing with McTavish centering would be huge considering NJ needs another top 6 forward. That would give them Meier,Hischier,Hughes,Bratt,McTavish as top 6 main stays and they have other candidates in the lineup that could compete for the last spot.

  10. IF Mason McTavish is truly disgruntled and worried about his workload being a lot less. Id try and package Laine and Matheson, and whatever else thrown in there to try and go After Mctavish. Bolduc-Mctavish-Demidov sounds like a very fun and hard working 2nd Line…. Dach, Bolduc, Mctavish, and Dobson already sounds like the 2nd best PP2 in the league throw whoever you want as the 5th it wouldnt really matter. ALSO Mctavish can kill penalties which helps considering we lost Dvorak and Armia. I just said this on a different video, im just airing out this idea. Thoughts?

  11. How can you NOT have Montreal on this conversation??? They desperately need a 2C! He’s a perfect fit!

  12. Mason McTavish – (Centre), Evander Kane – (Left wing), Conor Garland (Right wing). – that 2nd line would be craaaazy!!

  13. Don't you just love these "rumors" that fly around. As Anaheim Rob mentioned, if Verbeek deals him, he should join him. But as a Wings fan, I'd like to see Yzerman at least make the call and see what it would take to get McTavish. A sign-and-trade scenario to give Mac 8 years at $8M AAV might be doable with the Wings parting with prospects and picks. BUT, the likelihood of such a deal is not realistic.
