  1. We have effectively avoided major injuries for a couple of years. If we get hit by the injury bug this year, we will see exactly what depth we have.
Seider hasn't missed a game yet. And that scares the hell out of me.

  2. I wonder if the fix at 1st line LW isn't someone nobody is talking about. I hear Copp or Kasper. I thought why not try Berggren or Soderblom bc they could thrive? What if you put Compher there, rebuild his confidence, give him a place with talent around him like he had with Colorado. He could surprise, maybe if he does well you put him back in a center spot down the lineup after a while to boost a line that needs a shakeup, idk. At least worth a thought.

  3. The 1:03:00 convo about how old you need to be to remember the wings being good. I was born late 96’.

I grew up with them being good. But as a grown adult where I could pay to go to games with my dad or myself I’ve never seen them good 😭😭. The last memories I have of them being good is elementary/middle school

  4. I see Compher being off the roster by trade deadline. RW position seems to be shored up by Raymond, Kane, Appleton, Berggren, Cat if needed as well as Soderblom, Mazur and Watson. I think/hope Danielson is on the team by the end of the year; Down the middle of Larkin, Kasper, Copp and Nate with Ras if needed. This can make the C/RW Compher expendable as Shine or Lombardi can come up and be 4th line C if needed as well. The trick is to get it done and not have to attach a 2nd round pick.

  5. Hell not even the divisional games. The wings went 0-3 on the California road trip. Imagine if Detroit last year beats San Jose and Anaheim, suddenly that’s a 4 point jump.

Last season especially was littered with games Detroit on paper shouldn’t have lost against statistically much worse teams.
