I'm shocked SanFilippo doesn't recognize Carter's contributions to the City of Philadelphia, especially the children's hospital. Every Child, Doctor and Nurse knew him on a first name basis at CHOP.

Hart seriously effed up, guilty or not, Flyers should try to get something for him. Anything.
The NHL shouldn’t bring them back—not because of guilt, but because being acquitted isn’t the same as being innocent. These players were part of a disgusting situation, and the league doesn’t owe anyone a second chance just because charges didn’t stick. The NHL is a private league, not a courtroom. No one has a right to play there.
Bringing them back opens the door to future scandals with no system in place to handle them. Plus, the league already looks weak on accountability—this would make it worse. And no one's talking about this: reinstating them silently links the NHL back to the mess that is still Hockey Canada. That’s a PR disaster waiting to happen.
Let them stay out. The risk outweighs the reward.

The Flyers have always had goalie issues. I can't see the majority of fans balking at bringing him back. If he flops, thatd be on him and they could easily let him walk at season's end(via a prove it deal). If he plays well, the old saying of winning solves everything would apply. It's not as if this team is going anywhere anytime soon and like he'd be taking someone's chance (guys in the farm arent ready). All that said, Comcast will rein supreme.

I followed the whole trial and it was clear since about halfway through that this case would be thrown out. The young lady got caught in too many inconsistencies.
The Flyers should absolutely offer Carter a contract and Carter should ABSOLUTELY reject it.

the trial was a PR witch hunt on behalf of Hky 🇨🇦 attempting to save / rebuild their reputation after years of allegations of harassment, hazing and racism across the organization at all levels.
There were no winners in all this, only losers. EM for having to live through all this over / over again and being coerced by Hky 🇨🇦 into testifying. The players for losing their careers / wages / reputations. The NHL / NHLPA / Flyers for being too afraid and woke to not stand by their players whom were only facing allegations.
