"I don't want JVR on the first line" …chill, dude, JVR, at his age, is third line best case. If JVR actually starts on the first line in regular season games, there's either an injury, or we're trying to tank.
Why not put Kasper with Raymond? Why do we need Larkin & Raymond together? Cat-Larkin-Kane, ??-Kasper-Raymond and treat both these lines as 1A / 1B with similar ice time.

History has shown that the lottery has not favored Detroit. Florida lost 2 out of 3 against the Wings last season, and if Detroit had a PK, they would have swept the Panthers. The Wings need a goalie to step up. I think Danielson will fit as the 1st line winger. He is the most talented and skilled player, as evident in the AHL high lights. Kasper, who is being consistent more and more, is the most dangerous player on the ice, Panthers included. Check the evidence in the last few games as the d-men backed off big time. SE, I agree, should anchor the PP. The Rangers are only as good as their goalie . Give Detroit the Senators goalie who stole games from Detroit who dominated. You're looking at 20-30 points increase. Poor teams can't go on 7 game winning streaks. It would be nice to get another top d-men or forward. However, Detroit is not a destination.
