Trading Zacha for a 2nd round pick and a middling prospect during the offseason would be stupid.
He’s on a very affordable contract, can play both special teams, and can play center or wing in a top-six role.
That’s a player that other teams will overpay to acquire nearer to the trade deadline. The Bruins got a 1st rounder + a good prospect for Carlo (albeit with some salary retained by Boston). Zacha has at least as much value on the trade market as Carlo does.
I really like Zacha, but what if we could package a deal of Zacha and Korpi, really clear some cap and do something there 🤔 Just a thought
I have no problem moving off the king of ping or the fly by champ. But do it at the deadline and get over value for him. For me he has always lacked intensity and is unnoticible in playoffs or big games. I dont hate him though and if we keep him thats fine. But if hes not playing with Pasta hes a 40 pt guy really.
I would keep, cuz a very good contract. He can play a first line if there is necessity. If Bruins are not heading to play-off I would trade him at deadline, for picks or right D prospect.

I don't understand where this team is going. Zucca, one face off, kept his mouth shut, and has some chemistry with pasta. Not sure why you'd move him out and bring in the players that they did. Dealing him for a third, even a second makes no sense to me. If we're going that deep with the rebuild .move everybody. Zacha is not moving the needle that much I guess but we're gonna replace him with Beecher? I also need a drink.

Guys Zaka completely sucks! You have a roster and I say you because I’m not watching this team other than watching pasta there’s no one else to watch on this team. There’s just not sorry. But Zaca sucks and think about the fact he’s been playing with pasta for two or three seasons now and he still has no points if he can’t score with pasta, he can’t score
14 goals and he supposed to be your number one or your number two center are you kidding me? You have to be kidding me he’s playing with David Pasternak and only scoring 14 goals. I’m 50 can barely walk let alone skate anymore and I could put up 14 goals for pasta.
Zacha is a mid player. He can not drive any line. He wins faceoffs, but not to an extent that you can use him like Bergy. It depends on what the return would be. He is not irreplaceable at all. The devils gave him up for Haula if you remember. It was an 1 on 1 trade. So I am all ears for what the offers are.
"Pasha" from "Spiitin Chcklets podcast is Devils Die Hard and talked about how inconsistent Zacha was in NJ. I watched his lack-luster play overt he last two years. Trade the sinner hate the sin. I say yes.

As a lot of people are commenting, what Bruins get in return is what is going to make the trade good or bad. I don't consider Zacha a top 6 forward because I believe he's is an ok 2nd line player and a good 3rd line player.

I'd wait until nearer the deadline to see what you've got with him this year.
